Two arrested for backpage child prostitution

Man Arrested For Pimping Of A Child In Aurora:

Police in Aurora, Colorado arrested two men in connection with a child being pimped out on backpage.

Backpage is a craigslist competitor that is owned by Village Voice Media that has not come under the heavy scrutiny that craigslist has. It should because it’s where all the craigslist hookers and pimps are going now to advertise their wares.

Anyway police arrested 24-year-old Bobby James Doss for pimping out a runaway underage girl from Texas on backpage. Also arrested was 37-year-old Brett Alan Coffman who was trying to use the girl’s services.

Now let’s wait and see if the politicians will follow suit along with the pimps and hookers to backpage. Something tells me it will take another case like the murder of Julissa Brisman for that to happen.

  1. Your views on prostitution are out dated and lurid. This is a Darwinian world and in everything there is a hierarchy. There will always be street level people in this industry.

However, despite your pulp fiction yammerings, many people in this industry are NOT uneducated, drug addled, part of illegal human trafficking, have a pimp or are under age. Many do this as a temp situation for $$$ gain to pay off loans etc…I do not consider them criminals. I consider the people that PREY on them criminals.

If it were legal that girl would not have been murdered. You act as thought C.L is the gate way to hell. Grow up and please stop projecting your black and white, scary, uninformed, knee jerk reactionary view point onto both C.L and “PIMPS and pros” You are either a frustrated cop, asexually repressed Republican or just plain boring and controlling. πŸ™„

  2. In all fairness, you came to this site and voluntarily read its contents. He may be projecting his own views onto others, but others are under no pressure whatsoever to read them. Who is a simpler man, the man who states his own, possibly objectionable, opinions, on the internet, or the man who is too damned lazy to type a different string of characters into the address bar?

  4. People with no morals have the same insults to hurl at those who do. I think it’s a guilt/conviction thing.I’m guessing such people are either pimps, prostitutes or perverts. πŸ™„

You are not hearing me Lori-you hear only the deafening roar of your own limited opinions. I don’t think that I am immoral because I think Prostitution should be legal. I think I am pragmatic. I know people in this industry and they are very fine people. Keep insisting that they are all villains, “perverts” and pimps. Most of them are every day people desperate to pay school loans, support a single family etc…If one of them gets caught up in a sweep they are Pros for life. YOU may find it immoral-I’m cool with that-teach your children well etc…or if you have any, hope they can get a scholarship. If the person is not underage, on the streets or coerced or are illegals, then mind your own business.

My issue is with those of you who are willfully blind, uncaring and rather stupid when it comes to hearing the other side of the issue. There are many very ‘normal” people in the industry that just want to be left alone-and they should be. This country is supposed to be founded on a separation of church and state. When you are talking about morality you are talking about a very self righteous, self serving type of morality-one that supports your view of the world. Many Americans, people etc.. share the same views that I do. Legalize it, tax it and supervise it. If that were done there would be no pimps, underage girls-or far less.

BTW if you all actually took the time to study the industry instead of mouthing shop worn myths-then you would know that Pros use condoms far more than non-pros. Go to any bar on a weekend or take note of the serial monogamous that get “caught up” and do not use protection. Don’t bother blaming the “other whore” for tempting your man either. Most men are pretty easily tempted and that really pisses other women off. Shrug-such is nature.

Lori-did you know that if you were ever suspected of being a pro, the cops can search you and if they find condoms on you, they use that as evidence against you? Our government makes practicing safe sex illegal and they don’t come down on the men that way.

I won’t be replying to this thread in the future. I said what I had to say and I can tell with this crowd that there will be no intelligent discourse. Next step will be someone trotting out the bible and quoting it to support their well thought out arguments.

Happy witch hunting and lynching ya’ll.

  7. Are you really claiming that the law applies only to those areas it should and none of the areas it shouldn’t? I think I see both sides of the issue fairly clearly, and that argument, made on behalf of anybody for any position, is ridiculous on its face. If one is poor, and has the audacity to decline to be a burden on society in a time when jobs are scarce, he is morally unfit?

To equate immorality or mental unfitness with illegal behavior is laughable and despicable, even if one lives in the Middle East or Vatican City, where that style of thinking seems to dominate.

  8. Anyone who doesn’t care if people get hurt by their actions, or actions of others in which they took part–are immoral, vile people. Heartless, IMO.

  9. Okay, so if a prostitute makes sure to use protection, gets tested for STDs regularly and makes sure her clients are not in relationships or public office, she’s fine?

Or if a drug dealer makes sure that the stuff he sells is of the highest quality without any form of adulteration, and watches over his customers while they partake of his wares to make sure that they don’t react poorly is okay by your standards?
