Sunburnt baby leads to meth lab

Report of baby’s sunburn leads to Jasper meth lab:

CPS in Texas received an anonymous tip about a severely sunburnt baby. When police in Jasper, Texas went to check out the situation they stumbled upon a meth operation that was going on within the residence.

Arrested was 45-year-old Gary Clary, his relation to the baby was not given in the article. However it was noted that the baby’s mother was also in the meth house and is getting ready to pop out another one.

The baby’s grandmother originally told police that the baby and its mother weren’t there but then when police asked to come in she told police she lied and that they were there. Nothing like trhree generations in a meth lab.

Let’s go to Jasper County Sheriff Mitchel Newman for a little lesson in common sense.

“The adults had a choice of whether they wanted to be at a place that was making meth; this 9-month-old baby didn’t,” Jasper County Sheriff Mitchel Newman said. “The baby that the mother is pregnant with doesn’t have a say in where they are. We have to stand up for the children who do not have a voice.”

Word.

Thanks to Laura for the tip.

  1. WOW! Thank God that someone spoke up and called authorities to report this 9-month-old was severely sunburned, WTH? Wonder how in the world that happened? Stupid asses! Once again, I’m all for mandatory sterilization in cases like this. This ignorant breeder had no business having the 9-month-old, let alone getting pregnant again…..geez! When is something going to be done about situations like this? Hopefully, all of these dumb asses will be put away and not be allowed to breed, at least for a while. ;-(

  3. Awesome… So, not only do you fail to protect your kid from the harmful effects of the sun. Sounds like you don’t get the kid any treatment for the sunburn. And, for strike 3, you decide that a meth lab is a safe environment. Obviously, they’re doing more than making the meth.

  5. But Kathy, she didn’t think a meth lab was a safe environment! That’s why she left the child out to bake in the hot sun, like any good mother would do to protect her kid from meth!

All of these people need a serious reality check. Man, I am just a master of understatement today, am I not? So gramma likes a little meth in the morning too, does she? Has the nine month old been checked for possible drug addiction? I mean, if the mom is living in a meth house – really – what are the chances that she’s not on the stuff herself? The nine month old and the in-utero baby both need to be checked for this, and maybe the mom can be put away for even longer.

And just for a little added fun….let’s do some math. The baby is nine months old + the mom is about to pop with another one = she didn’t wait long at all before gettin’ busy after she had the first one did she? I doubt she waited even the length of time recommended by most doctors.

  7. I must be really tired. I was about to try to prove, through math, how both babies couldn’t be hers. 😛

I imagine she got preggers one or two months after baby #1 popped out, if she’s “about to pop”. I think you start to get the “about to pop” look around 7 months. [I don’t remember when I started to look like I was going to explode, lol…]

Uhm, typically breast feeding helps postpone ovulation starting back up. But then again, her body may be atypical. And I’m betting the meth doesn’t help her body be typical, either. 😛

However, she may have started ovulating early because she at least wasn’t breast feeding baby #1 while smoking meth. [However, we don’t know if she was smoking while pregnant… so…]

Yeah, just bad mom all the way around. 😛

    Bleah.

Hey, what is the time recommended by the doctors? I imagine, since they like you to breast feed a minimum of 6 months to give the baby a jump in immunity, that the minimum time would be somewhere >= 6 months…

The breastfeeding myth is just that, a myth. I know, because I was still (exclusively) breastfeeding my 3rd baby, who was 5 months old, when I got pregnant with my fourth. I bought into the myth, and it got me two babies 15 months apart. LOL. I was nursing the 3rd one up until 1 month before having #4. I wanted to give my body a chance to recoup before nursing the new addition. You should have seen some of the looks I got when I was out somewhere, 7 months pregnant, and nursing a 13-14 month old. Those would have been some Kodak moments for sure. hahaha

  13. I have a friend who has two who were born exactly 9 months and two weeks apart – and neither was premature. She waited the (minimum) two weeks suggested by her doc before having sex, and she got pregnant the first time. Personally, I didn’t want my hubby to even look at me in a romantic way for at least a MONTH after birth. LOL.
