Former middle school football coach Robert Lesnau, of the Detroit area, was arrested back in March for allegedly soliciting sex from a six-year-old girl through craigslist.
According to federal investigators Lesnau contacted a woman on craigslist for her ‘adult services’. Allegedly Lesnau heard the woman’s six-year-old daughter crying in the background and asked how much would it be to have sex with the girl. The woman ended the phone call and reported it to authorities. The FBI stepped in and had the woman call back saying that she was desperate for money and was willing to entertain Lesnau’s vile request.
Let’s top right there for a moment. I can already hear the perv patrol crying and gnashing their teeth while wailing claims of entrapment. This is not entrapment. If the reports are correct, which I’m going to assume they are, the suspect was the first person to approach the subject of having sex with her daughter. If law enforcement were the ones to first bring it up then it would be entrapment. Now back to our story.
Besides, after you read this I don’t think anyone would believe a claim of entrapment…
A series of texts were exchanged, during which Lesnau asked for topless photos of the mother and daughter to ensure they were “for real,” asked about the child’s prior sexual experience and offered to pay $200, the FBI says.
Conversation became more graphic in a phone call the following day, during which the FBI says Lesnau said he wanted to watch the mother and daughter “play around together” with adult toys.
Investigators set up a meeting place at a Rochester motel where Lesnau was arrested.
Lesnau’s attorney is saying that the criminal complaint is one-sided and Lesnau is looking forward to his day in court. I can’t imagine what he could possibly present that would exonerate him.
Anyway once again craigslist is the go to place for pedophiles to find their next victims and craigslist still refuses to do anything about it. I don’t ever remember the newspaper classifieds being used for child rape back in the day.
Lesnau’s former school says none of the students he coached have claimed to have been abused.
