45-year-old Kerry Murphy of Cincinnati, Ohio, isn’t the first registered sex offender to allegedly ask for child sex on craigslist, but he may be the most detailed.
“I’m looking for an open-minded parent who would be interested in bringing their daughter or daughters by for some passionate play. You cam just drop off and pick up later, stay there and wait while we play, come in the room and watch, or if a mom you can even join us in our play time. I’ms safe, sane, clean, ddf, discreet and respectful. Will respect any limits agreed upon ahead of time, like no bdsm or whatever.”
“You will be compensated for your time. Compensation will be dependent on several factors. Age, experience, time, limits and your involvement. A dad in a hurry, with a lot of limits wanting to watch, a 17yo daughter that’s been around the block a few times, lowest amount. A mom with all day, almost no limits, wanting to join, 10yo and 11yo virgin daughters would be the highest amount. Looking to set this up at a later time, so we have time to talk, set limits, discuss involvement, etc. Please change this subject line to your daughters age to weed out spam.”
As you can expect, the ad was responded to by undercover investigators. Murphy is a registered sex offender, reportedly by his own admission to police, for sexually abusing his 13-year-old stepdaughter.
With such a blatant ad, there’s hardly any room for doubt as to what Murphy was allegedly looking for. This was on craigslist with no moderation or any kind of flagging, with someone just bluntly asking to have sex with children. The two things that really disturb me about this story is that craigslist does nothing to remove these ads, and that people care so little that this goes on through craigslist is they continue to use it. Would you patronize a store that was known to sell child porn? So why do you continue to support the Sears catalog of sex offenders. (Kids, ask your grandparents what a Sears catalog is.)
My apologies to FOX19.com for my liberal interpretation of fair use.
