In a follow-up to my initial post on alleged school shooting plotter Nicole Cevario, more details have been released about her supposed motivation in wanting to attack Catoctin High School in Thurmont, Maryland.
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office released details of Cevario’s journal, in which she reportedly said that she would be the first female mass shooter. In my previous post, I pondered if Cevario was a columbiner, which means someone who is a fan of school shootings. Back in the day, I used to call them mutants since they are a mutation of society, but the internet has dubbed them as columbiners which is a more press friendly word. As it turns out, she was more than likely a columbiner as she spoke of both Columbine and Sandy Hook in her journal, allegedly detailing the ‘mistakes’ those cowards made.
One ‘mistake’ she made was waiting until she was 18 before being arrested. In most of these cases it’s debated if the suspect should be tried as an adult. If found guilty she will probably be sentenced to a lengthy prison stay. My only worry is that she will go on to inspire other females to pick up where she was thwarted. As I’ve said before, females tend to be accomplices rather than shooters themselves. Here’s hoping we don’t start seeing a reversal in that trend.
