Crime News That Matters

Guns used in STEM school shooting were stolen from shooter's parents

Earlier this week it was reported that the guns used in the shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch that left one student dead were believed to have been stolen from one of the suspects’ parents. The guns were reportedly taken from the parents of Devon Erickson. It sounds like we have another case of ‘responsible’ gun owners.

While it’s not known yet how the guns were stored if they were stored in such a way that they were easily accessible by the suspects then, in my opinion, the parents should be held as equally responsible for the shooting as their reprobate offspring. However, if history is any indicator, they’ll probably face no repercussions whatsoever.

Once again, guns are afforded more rights than school children in our country.
