30-year-olds Michael and Sarah Butcher were found by police in Punta Gorda, Florida, after parking in a private RV lot. Why were they parking there? Well, police say they found meth along with a needle and spoon in the glove box so I’m going to guess that they were looking to smoke meth. After the arrest the pair claimed to be brother and sister.
So this is BB so there has to be kids involved right? So were the kids in the truck while Uncle Daddy and Aunt Mommy smoked meth? Don’t be ridiculous. Only real lowlifes do that. In this case the Butchers allegedly abandoned their kids, ages 10, 8, and 6, in the woods and drove off so they could smoke meth. They supposedly did it like the assholes who dump their dogs. They took them out to the woods, told them go play, then hauled ass out of there. It wasn’t until police received a call about wandering hungry kids that anything was done about them. I guess the Butcher ‘siblings’ didn’t think to tell police to help their kids. Of course they didn’t. That would only get them in more trouble, which there in now, so I guess they’re plan really didn’t work that well.
If I had Walter White-like chemistry skills I’d make a super-meth that would make the tweakers’ heads literally explode. Quicker than rehab and no strain on the taxpayers.
As I scroll through the news articles, memorial pages, tributes, other sad and unfortunate stories. The one thing that is redundantly clear is that losing a child in any manner is tragic heart wrenching, soul crushing event. One never truly can or wants to understand how profoundly devastating it is to lose a child. Whether it’s your own, your nephew or niece, or many friends children that we count as part of our own “mob” to use Australian slang. Each one of us is precious and valued, our children, our fire, our passion and what truly makes our life’s worth experiencing. For all the horrible things in life, children seem to balance out the Universes scales.
As parents, particularly mothers it becomes our responsibility from the moment we become aware of a pregnancy, loving the life growing inside your body, throughout out our various journeys we all make sacrifices, decisions for our own life’s that affect our children’s. We make decisions directly affecting our children, from their haircuts, to their clothing, to which school they attend. Most parents approach these important decisions with what’s in their child’s best interest at heart. We all have differing opinions on raising children, there are many-a-mummy blog, where you can find varying types of parenting styles. We all have different views on what we find acceptable for our children; we are entitled to raise our children with within these variations of what society deems appropriate. There are some decision’s you will make as a parent some people will not agree with, due to their own personal beliefs or standards, or because the deemed by the majority of society you have made an error in judgment; your decision, for whatever reason is of no benefit to your child, in fact that decision causes detriment. Sometimes these errors in judgment can be minor or sometimes they can be horrendous.
On the 25th of November 2011, Gemma Killeen spent the early part of the day sunbathing at her mother’s home; she also shopped and attended a manicure appointment. At around 5pm that evening she sent texts messages to Eddie Wetere, the father of their son Te Reringa Keyden Ashley Wetere. These texts messages, asking Mr. Wetere when he would be home from work, went unanswered. There are reports the couple had argued the night before after Miss Killeen’s late arrival home from a night out. Upon receiving no response from her on-again-off again lover and the father of her 22 month-old-son Te Reringa, Killeen drove her car and her son to Hillary’s Boat Harbour in Western Australia.
CCTV footage shown in court, has Killeen entering the car park and at approximately 5:30pm. A text message sent to Mr. Wetere went unanswered, Gemma Killeen removed Te Reringa from his car seat and walked with him to the water’s edge where she left him. She returned to her car and drove to the car park at the opposite end of the harbour.
She began making calls to relatives, telling them Te Reringa had been taken or lost. She continued to call and text message Mr. Wetere saying it was urgent. She claimed someone had taken Te Reringa from his pram, while she filled a bottle or got something from the car.
The search began for Te Reringa, at around 6:25pm a couple spotted what they thought was a doll in the water. After the man retrieved Te Reringa from the water he started CPR. The ambulance arrived and transported Te Reringa to hospital where he received his angel wings. 22 months old, and one month short of Christmas Day, it would have been the first he was old enough to experience.
Gemma has stated that she never intended to kill her son by placing him on the rocks at Hillary’s; that she was seeking attention from her lover and Te Reringas’ father by putting their precious child on those rocks, with nowhere else to go, but into water, by walking back to her car, starting it up, driving away. Take a look at those rocks in that photo, and the water, can you picture a 2-year-old boy abandoned?
WHAT IN THE FUCKING WORLD!?
I don’t know why the fuck she thought this decision was appropriate or in the best interests of her child or why she would consider using her child in a ploy like this to gain attention from Mr. Wetere. Clearly he’d had enough of her shit and wasn’t playing the text message games anymore. Unfortunately for him, and the rest of Te Reringas’ family, Gemma’s attention seeking, narcissistic tendencies and selfish wants, exceeded her need or desire to be a mother, or a decent human being.
And in all those moments she began telling lies, for more attention I can only assume, she wasted vital moments she could have used to change the outcome, to save her child’s life, realize her stupidity and foolish actions before it cost Te Reringa his life.
Instead of being so self-absorbed and demanding attention from a man who clearly couldn’t or didn’t want to answer you why not get excited for Christmas and the second birthday Te Reringa and his family were looking forward to, or getting him home and sorting dinner?
Gemma Killeen murdered her son, she set him upon steep rocks and left him alone to drown in Hillary’s Boat Harbour.
Gemma Gaye Killeen, plead guilty in the murder of Te Reringa Wetere and is serving 13 years to life in prison.
Kendra Meaker’s story was one of the first that I was able to share here at BB. I’ve been following it because it struck a chord with me and am happy to report that his c*** rag has pleaded guilty to obstructing justice and endangering the life or health of a child.
You may remember that Meaker abandoned her then 21-day-old baby in a ditch on the side of the road. The little girl was found some 12 hours later by volunteer’s searching for her. I do feel really badly for this little girl though because it seems both of her parents are pretty worthless. Following her plea on 1/11/13 Timothy Thompson who has been reported as being little Mia’s and her older sister Mercedes’s father is now asking for a paternity test. Because ya know if you have one baby with a woman and felt comfortable enough to stay in the relationship and keep having sex with her you have reason to doubt now.
Personally it smacks of he doesn’t want to be the custodial parent now that it’s a lot of work being a single dad. Meaker’s parents have custody and her father Ken Meaker is quoted “We’re taking each day as it comes, and just doing what we gotta do to get by and taking care of the girls. That’s what matters.”
Well at least someone seems to get it.
The incubator is set to be sentenced on March 8, 2013. I tried to find out but I couldn’t find if she’s still in custody or out of jail till then.
26-year-old Brittany Hill of Dallas, Texas was arrested recently for allegedly trying to sell her 4-month-old son online. I’ve seen reports that say it was either on craigslist or PennySaverUSA, both online classifieds sites. Luckily Hill was not selling the baby for sex which we have seen on this site too often lately.
Hill claims that she placed the ad for money needed for a lawyer in order to put the baby up for adoption. However a person who saw the ad and was interested in adopting the baby reported to police that they got cold feet when they found out that no lawyer would be involved. I’ve seen reports stating that the baby was being sold anywhere from $4000 to $6500.
But wait, there’s more. Hill is also facing child endangerment charges for allegedly leaving her son alone in their apartment. The apartment manager was doing welfare checks on tenants who were behind on his rent and found the baby on the floor unattended. Luckily the baby was unharmed. Hill allegedly said that she was having an anxiety attack and ‘needed a breather’ while she left her son alone for an hour while she walked to a nearby school. That’s peculiar to say the least.
In an interview with local media Hill denies trying to sell her son and says she was just trying to find a good home for him.
“I know that’s illegal,” she said Monday, speaking from jail. “I’m not stupid – that’s called, like, black-market something. I’ve read about it, I know.”
“Look deeper into it instead of just being like, ‘OK, that’s what it is. She’s trying to sell her child,'” Hill added. “Screw that, you know. It’s not like that.”
Hill also has other children that are no longer in her custody. One was adopted by another family in 2009 and other have been adopted by her parents.
Apparently Hill just can’t stop from getting pregnant….
“I will never have any more children,” she said. “If I could have had a hysterectomy, I would have done it a long time ago.”
Where’s the federal program for that idea if someone is willing to have it done?
Anyway I’m not really here to bash Hill too much. I don’t think she acted maliciously here. Irresponsible yes but not malicious. She was able to have her other children successfully and legally adopted previously so as of right now I can’t see why her intentions would be otherwise in this case.
The main reason I really wanted to post this story is to highlight the idea that there should be better laws and programs in place to make adoption easier not only for adoptive parents but also those who are giving up children for adoption. In this day and age when a baby’s life has become so disposable how about a little more education and encouragement for adoptions?
Where, oh where do I begin with this one? Three children all under the age of 5-years-old lost their lives in a RV fire on January 4th, after their mother Stephanie Mae Dunham (25) left them alone and locked the door from the outside trapping them inside. Yes, you read that right this was an RV, not a trailer home, it was inoperable, parked behind her mother-in-laws house and used extension cords for electricity. A space heater left plugged in and unattended on the front passenger seat is believed to be what caused the fire.
Yes, if you hadn’t guessed mommy is a meth head, and tested positive for being under the influence at the time she left the children… oh yeah and she is five months pregnant. Nice! Ladies and Gentlemen we have before us a real class act. The children Christopher Jr. (4), Crystal (3) and Kailey (1) died from smoke inhalation and thermal burns. The father Christopher Dunham (25) was at work when the fire broke out, but daddy is no angel. I’ll get into that more in a minute.
This family has a history with DHS and the police, with no less than 30 reported visits from the police since 2002 ranging from domestic disturbances to suicide attempts and 5 total calls to DHS since 2008 regarding suspected abuse of the children. Of course the police are not commenting and DHS is blaming them, so begins the blame game. In my opinion both of these entities sworn to protect and serve FAILED, had they done their jobs properly those three babies would be alive today. I won’t even get into my questions as to why these babies’ grandmother allowed them to live, not only with two drug addicts suspected of abuse and in a violent relationship, but in a freakin inoperable RV BEHIND her house. I mean I can tell you this my mother-in-law, would never stand for that. I may not always see eye to eye with her but she loves my kids and would never allow them to be in an unsafe environment, regardless of whether I liked it or not, never mind my sisters and family.
How about, for shits and giggles, we take a look at the history these two pieces of trash had with DHS. Ready for it? Here we go.
– Sept. 17, 2010, daddy is accused of sexually abusing their 3-year-old daughter, after the investigation a finding of “unsubstantiated-services recommended” was made and there were NO additional safety concerns.
– June 25, 2010, a complaint that the children are being exposed to domestic violence. The complaint screened out due to no specific act of domestic violence, abuse or neglect was sited.
– Nov. 13, 2009, a complaint that the children are being left with an inappropriate caregiver. Sex Offender?? Mom denied the allegations, DHS reports the children are healthy and recommends an adult while in the home of the “questionable” caregiver supervises them.
– Oct. 13, 2009, complaint that mommy is using drugs in the presence of the children, there was physical violence between the parents in front of the children, mom struck Crystal and caused injury. DHS investigated, mom denied drug use and witnesses attested to that but expressed concern regarding dad’s temper. The findings “unsubstantiated-services recommended”
– April 17, 2008, complaint Christopher Jr. has been abused by his father and had a knot on his head as a result of being pushed down.
It seems there is a lot of “there was no proof”, but what there is proof of is a freakin RV as home, with no running water and/or electricity. It seems to me that would be enough, I dunno, I’m not a trained professional.
Both of these winners were arrested on February 11th, they both face three felony counts of child neglect and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. They both have bail set at $30,500.
These two fuckwads collected about $20,000 from sympathetic donors before the allegations of drug use surfaced. That makes me sick!
The beastly beauty you see above is Jessica Perry (29) of Simpsonville, SC and she thinks it’s acceptable to leave her 17-month-old daughter alone in an unlocked car, on the side of the freeway in the middle of the night. Why would she do something so stupid you ask??? Well, because she ran out of gas and she decided to hitch a ride with another motorist to get some gas, I guess the fact her daughter Ava was in the car slipped her mind because she left without her. I want to be clear here on the time it is shortly after midnight and she just hopped in the car with someone and left the most precious gifts one could be given ALONE, in the dark and in an unlocked car. Does she not know about the sick-os in the world or does she just not give a shit? In my opinion it’s the latter of the two.
Anyhow, apparently the police were notified of Ava’s situation and they were waiting for the asshole of a mother when she got back to her car. Where she was promptly arrested for DWI (her second DWI in a week), driving on a revoked license and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Ok, so not only is the asshole stupid as the day is long, she was also impaired while driving her baby girl around. I am becoming rather annoyed with her, how about you guys?
So, when the officer gets her to the station they discover in her possession two Clonzepam pills and two Restoril pills, both are considered schedule IV narcotics.
She was given a $10,000 secured bond. She is due back in court March 24th.
See that face up there staring back at you, looking like she is mad at the world, that is woman who locked her 3-year-old son in a closed 24 inches wide and 12 inches high, hit him on nearly every part of his body and burned him. Isn’t that pissed off look something to look at, aren’t you tempted to smack it off her face. Well get in line behind me, I get first shot at her.
Ladies and Gentlemen today we have for your reading disgust Fairrin Moss (23), she has been charged one count of felonious assault and two counts of endangering a child. Back on December 9th she was arrested after a woman described by investigators found her son locked in a second floor linen closet, in Moss’ apartment. When the aunt removed his clothing to give him a bath, she noticed bruising to his body and took him to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, who them notified police. Good for the aunt, at least she cared enough about the little guy to seek treatment for him.
According to police he was kept in a linen closet, no lights, he couldn’t sit or stand up, he had to lie down. Sometimes he’d be left in there for hours at a time while she left the home. He had been beaten over the head, in the head, in the stomach, on the side, the legs, grabbed around the neck and a severely burned right foot. The burns were apparently the result of contact with scalding water. Gawd damn!
According to police in an odd way the little guy is “very lucky, had the aunt not intervened…. she probably saved his life.” The little guy has been placed in foster care, where he is recovering from his injuries.
Moss pleaded not guilty and is free on bond. Travesty, she should be locked up, this beast of a woman has forever changed this little boy’s life. Why should she be free to roam the streets and live her life while he recovers?
Police in Houston, Texas arrested LaQuinta Latrice Kemp after she fled a Macy’s after allegedly being caught shoplifting. While making her escape police say that she hit a store employee and left a stroller behind that contained her 1-year-old son. Did I mention that this took place on Christmas Eve. I guess she should have gotten her Christmas shoplifting done early but I’m guessing she wasn’t looking for presents for others. At least she’s gone upscale from most of the shoplifting stories we get.
And while I’m at it what the hell kind of name is LaQuinta? Does she have siblings named Red Roof and Motel 6? Maybe she was named after where she was conceived.
Not surprisingly she has a previous record for burglary. She can now add a charge of child abandonment to her resume.
One more reason why I think people should adopt from this country before going overseas. Apologies to my overseas readers. I am not trying to be jingoistic however we have plenty of children in the US that need good homes.
Torry-Ann Hansen of Tennessee adopted a 7-year-old boy from Russia. Apparently she felt that he wasn’t worthy enough to be in her presence as she set him on a plane back to Russia with a note that said…
“He is violent and has severe psychopathic issues/behaviors,” she wrote. “After giving my best to this child, I am sorry to say that for the safety of my family, friends and myself, I no longer wish to parent this child.”
A child, especially an adopted one, is not something you can return like a cell phone you don’t like because it’s the wrong color.
The Russian government says that after this adoptions from the US may be reduced. Can you blame them. As a society have we become so selfish that we return adopted children just because they cramp your life?
She handed over her kid to a homeless woman. When she didn’t return the homeless woman took the child to her camp.
When Marcial returned and the homeless woman and her child wasn’t there she called police. The homeless woman returned the child with no issue and Marcial was arrested.
Marcial claims that the reason she left her son with the woman was because she needed to use the bathroom. I’m sure it had nothing to do with anything illegal.
I remember being a young child and being dragged into many a women’s bathroom by my mom when she needed to go. Especially at 1-year-old when kids really don’t know what they may be witnessing why would you not take your kid with you?
