Canadian pervert convicted of Nexopia child rape

At least that’s what I wish the Canadian courts and media would say. Instead we get headlines like this..

Man lured underage girls over the Internet for sex:

Man guilty of underage sex:

First off the victim in this instance was 12-years-old. Let’s call it what it is. Either child molestation or child rape. 12 is even well below the highly controversial Canadian age of consent of 14-years-old that has since been changed to 16.

28-year-old Brian Allan Cockell of Edmonton, Alberta was convicted of what we would call child molestation of a 12-year-old girl that he met through the Canadian social site Nexopia. What the Alberta court called it was ‘sexual interference’. Seriously, what the fuck is that?

Cockell groomed the girl through Nexopia, communicated with her through text messages, met the girl at an ice rink, then took the girl back to his place where he raped her. You can’t convince me it was anything but rape. This went on five more times with Cockell knowing the girl’s age.

To make matters worse his defense attorney is arguing that the two years his client spent in jail awaiting trial should be enough and that he is “no longer a danger to young people.” Are you shitting me?

If Canadian legal history is any indicator I wouldn’t be surprised if this scumbag actually did get time served.

Seriously Canada, grow a pair.

And why the hell was a 12-year-old girl on Nexopia unattended, having a cell phone and allowed to go to an ice rink by herself? Get a clue parents for the sake of your kids.

UPDATE 5/14/2012: Cockell only got 9 1/2 years along with 27 months time served. So in all total he’ll only serve a little bit more than 7 years and will probably be released early. Pathetic.

Nexopia predator caught in child porn sweep

Shiraz Nariman

Shiraz Nariman

Police seek alleged victims of man arrested in porn sweep:

Recently there was a massive nationwide child pron sweep in Canada. One of the guys they picked up is the subject of this blog post, 42-year-old Shiraz Nariman.

Investigators say that Nariman would pose as a 19-year-old boy on such sites as Facebook and the Canadian social site Nexopia using the screen names of sirazb, alex_isme and a1.sirop and the e-mail addresses of and He would then get underage girls to send him explicit pictures of themselves or masturbate on webcam for him. He may have even met with some of his victims.

That means we get to go over this again. No child, male or female, under the age of 18 needs a webcam. If your kids’ computer has a webcam and you let them use it unsupervised you’re giving all sorts of predators an open window to your kids room.

Here is a good article on how to disable built-in webcams. Now you have no excuse.

Canadian pedophile says he wants to be a contributing member of society

Pedophile issues court apology to victims:

I originally posted about Max David Miller here. Not only did he plead guilty to luring underage girls over the Canadian social site Nexopia but he also had sex (child rape) with the girls after getting them drunk. He solicited girls as young as 10-years-old. Prosecutors are asking for a sentence of 10-12 years.

In court last week Miller ‘apologized’ to his victims while trying to get leniency from the court…

“I am truly sorry . . . primarily for the psychological problems and psychiatric trauma to the victims,”

“I want help and I want to be a contributing member of society.”

His lawyer had this to say…

“The psychological reports tell of his rehabilitation and his ability to rehabilitate himself for his deviancy,” said Hepner. “He is motivated to rehabilitate himself.

“He’s still a young man and a first-time offender. To give him a 10-year sentence would be crushing.”

You know what was crushing? The mental and physical damage that this scumbag inflicted on his victims. He may be a first time offender in the eyes of the law but he had multiple victims. In reality this was probably his first time in being caught.

10 years is a joke of a sentence for what this serial predator did. He should be put away for life. Unfortunately if history is any indicator he’ll probably only get 5 years then be out again with plenty of time to find more victims.

UPDATE 12/1/2011: He got 10 years.

Max David Miller pleads guilty to child luring on Nexopia

25-year-old Max David Miller of Calgary…Alberta, Canada pleaded guilty to child luring on Canadian based social networking site Nexopia.

Now that makes it sound like that Miller ‘just’ asked underage girls on Nexopia to have sex with him but it goes way beyond that.

Miller solicited over 300 girls for sex or explicit images of themselves through both Nexopia and MSN Messenger. He would do this to girls ages 10 to 15. He told his victims that if they got pregnant by him he would either get them an abortion or take care of them. He also said that if one of the girls did have a baby through him that he would like to ‘play’ with the baby and then teach the child about sex himself.

He would also tell his victims that if they had boyfriends it wouldn’t be considered cheating since he would be technically raping them.

Miller also asked girls to find him other victims as young as 7-years-old.

This is one of those posts that I feel the need to take a shower after typing it.

The article states that Miller is looking at a lengthy sentence but if history is any indicator it won’t be as long as it should be.

And let’s not forget that 10-year-olds don’t need to be on any social networking sites.

UPDATE 11/20/2011: Prosecutors asked for a sentence of 10 to 12 years. Which means he’ll probably get about half that.

Joshua Innes gets less than a slap on the wrist

Montreal man who used Net to lure girls gets parole:

First the recap on who Joshua Innes is…

To refresh your memory Innes, from Montreal, used the social site Nexopia to threaten and blackmail underage girls into stripping in cam for him by posing as a 16-year-old girl named Nicky.

He was also found to be in possession of copious amounts of child porn. He was sentenced to 9 years which he served almost none of before being given parole.

Now he’s been given even better parole. For him, not for the public.

He’ll have to tell future girlfriends about his crime and he won’t be allowed in the company of juveniles without being in the company of an adult who knows of his criminal history.

The Canadian courts decided that Innes was acceptable for accelerated parole since his offenses weren’t considered violent.

Don’t be surprised if his next offense is.

Nexopia predator does get light sentence

Calgary man sentenced to two years in jail for luring girls via Internet:

Matthew Alan Armstrong of Calgary, Alberta was convicted for using Nexopia to lure minors into having sex with him. If you’ll recall he’s the guy who approached a 14-year-old girl, a 15-year-old girl, a 19-year-old girl who posed as a 13-year-old girl ala To Catch a Predator, and a 13-year-old girl who was actually a police detective and had sex with the 14-year-old girl in a train station bathroom.

Previously his lawyer argued that his client should get time served because he allegedly has muscular dystrophy which affects his judgment. Never mind the fact that the 27-year-old Armstrong told his victims that age is ‘just a number’.

He might as well have gotten time served because for all his actions Armstrong only got less than 2 years behind bars. After that he’ll be on probation for only 3 years and be a registered sex offender for 20.

So once he’s 47 he’ll be free to prey on young girls again. Pathetic.

Nexopia predator getting light sentence

Tough sentence sought for Calgary internet predator:

I originally posted about Matthew Allan Armstrong here. He’s the slimeball from Calgary who used to Nexopia to try to set up meetings with underage girls. Armstrong is 27.

He approached a 14-year-old girl, a 15-year-old girl, a 19-year-old girl who posed as a 13-year-old girl ala To Catch a Predator, and a 13-year-old girl who was actually a police detective.

He even met the 14-year-old and had sex with her in a train station restroom. Classy.

He sent messages to over 100 girls on Nexopia with over 532 pages of chats. When underage girls would tell him their age he would say ‘age is just a number’. That’s the motto of the child predator.

So what is he looking at for all these offenses? 18-24 months and his lawyer is trying to get him time served. His lawyer says that Armstrong has a form of muscular dystrophy which affects his judgment. That fact that he says age is just a number tells me that he knew exactly what he was doing and 18-24 months is a joke for an obvious serial predator.

Man who posted nude pics of ex cries at sentencing

Local man off to jail for posting naked photos of underage girl:

I originally posted about Brian Jonathan Schultz here. He’s the guy from Edmonton who posted nude pics of his underage ex on Nexopia.

He was recently sentenced to one year behind bars and at the reading of his sentence he broke down and cried.

Awwwwww, poor baby….not.

Nexopia user is three time loser

Calgary man pleads guilty to trying to lure teens over the Internet:

27-year-old Matthew Allan Armstrong of Calgary pleaded guilty to three differences of luring underage girls over Nexopia. One of the girls was a 20-year-old posing as an underage girl after watching ‘To Catch a Predator’, another was an undercover police officer, and one was actually a 15-year-old girl.

After he was arrested he violated his parole by using an internet cafe to contact another underage girl.

This guy should be put away forever because even the threat of prison couldn’t get him to stop.

Canadian Nexopia predator sentenced, sort of

Child porn luring man gets jail time:

I originally posted about Ian Stuart Johnson here. Back in January Johnson, of Calgary, pleaded guilty to child porn charges and trying to lure underage girls over the Canadian social site Nexopia.

He was sentenced to time behind bars yesterday but only for 15 months. No offense to my Canadian readers but it seems that Canadian sentences are almost as bad as the British ones.

15 months behind bars for an obvious predator is a joke. In 15 months he’ll be back on the streets again looking for his next victim.
