After a mistrial was declared in the sanity phase of his trial Alex Youshock has pleaded no contest for attacking Hillsdale High in San Mateo, California and attempting to kill his chemistry teacher.
Under the terms of the plea Youshock will be committed to a mental hospital indefinitely. Normally I would have a problem with that however if he is determined to be sane not only will he serve 24 years in prison but his time in the cracker factory will not be considered as time served.
For once a plea deal that doesn’t suck.
After a mistrial prosecutors have decided that they will retry the sanity phase of Alex Youshock’s conviction.
Youshock was convicted of attacking Hillsdale High in San Mateo, California armed with pipe bombs, a sword and a chainsaw in order to try to murder his chemistry teacher.
A jury convicted him in March of attempted murder and weapons charges. But jurors later deadlocked over whether he was sane.
The new trial is scheduled for mid-September.
If Youshock is found insane he could be released from a cracker factory after six months. As I’ve said before Youshock hid his activity from his mom so obviously he knew what he was doing was wrong. The one juror who said that Youshock is insane needs to be smacked in the head.
A mistrial was declared this past week in the sanity trial of Alex Youshock. Youshock stormed Hillsdale High in San Mateo, California armed with pipe bombs, a chainsaw and a sword with the intent to kill his chemistry teacher.
Youshock hid his activity from his parents and lied to his mom about why he was going to the school that he was expelled from. So you would think it would be a no-brainer that Youshock knew what he was doing was wrong.
One single dumbass who was obviously fooled into thinking that Youshock didn’t know what the consequences of his actions would be led to a deadlocked jury resulting in the mistrial.
If a new trial is not held or if a unanimous verdict is not returned Youshock gets to go to the nut hut instead of prison which is where he belongs.
This past Monday 17-year-old Alex Youshock was convicted of attempted murder for storming the halls of Hillsdale High in San Matteo, California looking to kill his chemistry teacher. If you’ll recall Youshock was armed with pipe bombs, a katana and a chainsaw.
He was also convicted on three counts of weapon possession and using a pipe bomb in an act of terrorism.
The jury was deadlocked on whether or not Youshock was guilty of the attempted murder of a school security aide and the judge declared a mistrial on that charge.
The next step will be to see if Youshock is sane since he pleaded not guilty by insanity.
I think sane is a relative term in this case since Youshock wanted to kill school employees because they supposedly told him to do his work and pay attention in class. How dare they?. Either way this self entitled dumbass needs to be kept in custody for as long as possible.
The parents of Alex Youshock testified this past week. Youshock is on trial for attempting a bomb and chainsaw attack at Hillsdale High School in San Mateo, California.
This quote is basically all you need to know about Youshock’s parents…
“As a parent, I didn’t really know everything he was doing,” Richard Youshock recalled.
17-year-old Alex Youshock is the dumbass who stormed Hillsdale High in San Mateo, California with a guitar case filled with pipe bombs and a chainsaw.
His trial is going on this week and jurors were shown his childish videotaped manifesto…
The image of accused Hillsdale High School bomber Alex Youshock stared out at jurors Monday, digital flames burning around his head as he read from his self-described “manifesto” in a recording made before the attack.
“Now it’s my turn. I am God,” he said.
“My whole life you have been against me. I did nothing to you,” he said in the roughly 30-second clip shown in San Mateo County Superior Court during the opening day of his trial. “Now you will feel the anger I do. You will feel what it’s like to wake up and hate the world.”
Boo fucking hoo. I wake up every single day and I hate the fucking world. You know what real people do, they get over it and deal. Besides, your 17. What the hell do you know about the world? You’re not God. You’re a fucking loser dropout who couldn’t solve any of his problems without resorting to violence. You are the reason that you’re going to jail.
Of course Youshock’s douchebag attorney is saying that Youshock is mentally ill and hears voices. The only voice he heard was his self entitled internal monologue telling him that the world owes him something. The world doesn’t owe you shit kid except now it owes you a jail sentence.
18-year-old Alex Youshock has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity this past week. In August of 2009 Youshock was arrested after he stormed the halls of Hillsdale High in San Mateo, California armed with pipe bombs, a sword and a chainsaw that he kept in a guitar case.
Now with most insanity cases the defense has to prove that Youshock didn’t know the difference between right and wrong.
Considering he not only built the pipe bombs himself, posed for a picture displaying his pipe bomby wrath and also carried rubber door stops to keep students from escaping I think that it’s not going to be a problem to show that Youshock was well aware of what the consequences of his actions were going to be.
Luckily Youshock’s attack was stopped by a teacher at the school and no one was hurt.
Youshock was 17 at the time of his attack and was charged as an adult. He’s facing life behind bars on attempted murder charges since allegedly this was a premeditated attack against his chemistry teacher who gave him bad grades.
Just another loser who can’t take responsibility for his own actions.
Teen accused of bomb attack on San Mateo school competent for trial:
It’s been a while since we posted anything about Alex Youshock. He’s the then 17-year-old who attacked Hillsdale High School in San Mateo, California with pipe bombs, a sword, and a chainsaw that he carried in a guitar case. Luckily no one was injured in the attack and he was stopped by a teacher.
Just this past week Youshock was ruled competent to stand trial which is scheduled to start January 31st, 2011.
Youshock’s primary target was a chemistry teacher who gave him bad grades. Like I said previously just another loser who blames others for his own failures.
Youshock has been charged as an adult and is facing a possible life sentence after being charged with premeditated attempted murder.
San Mateo HS Attack Planned For Months:
Collision Course: Teacher Schools Would-Be Terrorist;
School attack suspect held without bail:
First I want to talk about that picture. That is a picture of Alex Youshock posing with his pipe bombs. The only thing I could find out about the pic was that it police sources say it’s Youshock. Now on the less edited photo it has some kind of text that says “My resolutions for your actions.” This leads me to believe that Youshock may have made some kind of video. If he did make a video that would put him one step close to being another unoriginal mutant.
The pipes for the bomb were purchased at Home Depot but the explosives were bought over the internet. From what I understand they were model rocket rockets. So model rocket hobbyists, expect your hobby to be regulated. But I can see how that could get past a parent.
Youshock allegedly carried the infamous chainsaw in a guitar case. So now he thinks he’s a cross between Leatherface and El Mariachi. What a maroon.
And for those of you who I’m sure will come forth and unbelievably say that he wasn’t really trying to hurt someone this is for you. After the initial bombs went off he ran towards the fleeing students and he also had rubber doorstops supposedly to keep his victims inside the classroom if he had thrown the bombs inside.
And how is this for being a big bad criminal? He had his mommy drive him to the school under the guise that he was visiting ‘a friend’.
It also seems that his intended target was in fact chemistry teacher Meghan Spalding blaming her for some of his bad grades. I got tons of bad grades in high school. While young punks blame the teachers the fault actually lies with you. Youshock is now being said to have dropped out of Hillsdale High.
He’s being held without bail as an adult but he’s still being held in a juvenile facility. He’s looking at a life sentence.
Charges: Chem teacher, security aide targeted:
San Mateo bombing suspect charged with seven felonies:
17-year-old Alex Youshock has been charged as an adult with seven felonies for his role in the pipe bomb attack against Hillsdale High in San Mateo, California. He’s been charged with two counts of premeditated attempted murder, two counts of detonation of an explosive device, one count of possession of explosive devices and one count of felony possession of deadly weapons.
I like what one of the DA’s said about charging Youshock as an adult…
“Any 17-year-old who shows an intent to kill other human beings — which was certainly the case here, there was an intent to kill many people — has forfeited the right to be treated in our rehabilitative juvenile system and has to be dealt with in our adult system, where the purpose is punishment, San Mateo Chief Deputy District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
“The concept of rehabilitation is truly a secondary interest here,” Wagstaffe said. “Public protection is the number one factor.”
That is awesome. Standing ovation from yours truly.
Also according to court documents Youshock’s targets included chemistry teacher Meghan Spalding and security aide Jana Torres. Except it seems that the court documents named them as targets since they were closest to the bombs and may not have been Youshock’s intended targets.
Now the blame game hasn’t started yet but tech blog Gizmodo has a post up wondering if Youshock’s choice of weapons were influenced by video games. The funny thing is when I heard that he was carrying a chainsaw it automatically reminded me of DOOM. If DOOM was an influence for the chainsaw that would go even more towards Youshock possibly being a mutant considering the Columbine killers were obsessed with the game.
