My friends over at child advocacy group A Voice For the Innocent, based in Cincinnati, have recently made an important announcement in regards to the help that they need.
In their own words AVFTI’s goal is to allow people to share their stories of sexual abuse and rape to a listening ear who won’t judge them and will still allow them to be as anonymous as they choose to be.
Our friends over at A Voice for the Innocent recently posted the following video to their YouTube channel of their participation in the 2014 Take Back the Night event in Cincinnati. Ohio.
Remember everyone, children can be victims of rape as well.
Last year I received an e-mail from a man named Jamie who is a sexual abuse survivor. He started an organization called A Voice For The Innocent to reach out and help other sex abuse survivors. I was so touched by his story that AVFTI is a permanent link here.
Yesterday I received another e-mail from Jamie. He thanked me for the support that we’ve given AVFTI. He said that he received so much traffic from us back then that they refer to it as ‘Bad Breeders Day’. I couldn’t ask for a higher compliment. However the main reason that Jamie e-mailed me is that AVFTI needs our help once again.
AVFTI is currently having a fundraising drive in order to reach out to more people. Please watch the following video from Jamie and crew.
You can donate at their Start Some Good page which is like a Kickstarter for non-profits.
If everybody reading this could donate $5 or $10 we could help them reach their goal of $5000 in no time.
If you donate through credit card or PayPal be aware that accounts won’t be charged until the first week of April when the campaign ends.
I’ve pledged and I hope you will too.
