It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything about the shooting at Central High in Knoxville, Tennessee. In 2008 a then 15-year-old Jamar Siler shot and killed 15-year-old Ryan McDonald within the walls of the school. To this day I have yet to hear what the motive was behind the shooting. Siler is still awaiting trial.
Two months after the shooting Siler’s sister, Ciara Siler, was arrested by US Marshalls on murder charges after she fled to Atlanta.
Now, Siler’s brother, Jamal Siler, has been sentenced to almost 15 years in prison for robbing a bank at gunpoint.
It seems that the Siler family can’t do anything without resorting to gun violence. Some would say that’s more reason to not try Jamar Siler as an adult. I say that’s even more reason since obviously he grew up in a criminal element that was well aware of the consequences of killing.
Robber who escaped on inner tube gets six-year prison sentence:
Do you remember the story about the guy who used craigslist to dupe a bunch of people into being decoys while he robbed an armored car in Monroe, Washington? Sure you do. He’s also the guy who made his escape on an innertube down the Skykomish River.
He was caught back in November through DNA and witness accounts and I’m sure this dumbass move didn’t help him either…
After the robbery, Curcio went on shopping sprees, bought a Range Rover and took his buddies and a teenage mistress on a high-roller trip to Las Vegas.
Didn’t anybody learn anything from Joey Coyle?
Anyway, Curcio was sentenced to 6 years after pleading guilty in May.
Police arrest robbery suspect who made floating escape:
Remember the bank robber who used craigslist to enlist decoys? He’s allegedly been caught.
Police arrested 28-year-old Anthony Curcio for the robbery of an armored car in Monroe, Washington. If you’ll recall he used a craigslist ad that said he was hiring workers and for all of them to show up wearing…
“Yellow vest, safety goggles, a respirator mask… and, if possible, a blue shirt,
Then when all hell broke loose he was able to make his escape by allegedly intertubing down the Skykomish River.
A citizen found items in the trash that were used in the robbery and noticed a silver SUV speeding off. The citizen wrote down the license plate and gave it to police.
Bank car robber escapes on Skykomish River:
A man who robbed a bank in Monroe, Washington used craigslist to set up an elaborate escape.
He took out an employment ad on craigslist and told people who responded to it to all show up in the same clothes. They were all told to wear a safety vest, safety goggles, a respirator mask and a blue shirt. That just happened to be what the bank robber wore.
Police are investigating the craigslist link.
However like I’ve said before it shows how unreliable even the paid job ads are.
