Another inanimate menace that must be stopped
A 2-year-old girl from Wichita, Kansas, recently died after her mother claimed that the girl hit her head on a playground slide. You know the story by now though, after the girl was examined at the hospital her injuries were not consistent of that type of injury plus there were previous brain bleeds according to investigators.
Details are unclear how police came to arrest the woman’s boyfriend, 33-year-old Sly Maples, for the girls death. However reports say that the pair were only dating for 3 months and the woman and her daughter just recently moved in with Maples. So for as long as 3 months Maples may have been allegedly violently abusing this poor girl for Hell only know what reason. I’m not saying the girl’s mother intentionally lied, she may have just been relaying what Maples told her since she wasn’t at the scene at the time of her daughter’s final injuries.
Maples does have a previous history of violence as an ex of his filed a restraining order against him accusing him of choking her until she passed out.
First off to the single mothers out there be very selective on who you decide to enter a relationship with. It’s not wrong to do a background check on them since it means protecting your children. Secondly I have to once again address all the abusing scumbags out there who think they’re smarter than doctors and police. You’re not. You can try to tell them some bullshit story about how they ‘fell’ out of bed but you will be found out and you will go to prison for a long time. So how about not being an abusive assclown instead?
Also here is a good follow-up article on how to recognize the signs of continuing child abuse.
Thanks to Denise for the tip.
Yates not guilty by reason of insanity:
From the “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me” Department…
HOUSTON, Texas (AP) — Andrea Yates was found not guilty by reason of insanity Wednesday in her second murder trial for the bathtub drownings of her young children.
Yates, 42, will now be committed to a state mental hospital, with periodic hearings before a judge to determine whether she should be released. An earlier jury had found her guilty of murder, but the verdict was overturned on appeal.
The defense never disputed that Yates drowned her five children one by one in the bathtub of their Houston-area home. But they said she suffered from severe postpartum psychosis and, in a delusional state, believed Satan was inside her and was trying to save them from hell.
The state’s key witness was Dr. Michael Welner, a forensic psychiatrist who interviewed Yates for two days in May. He testified that Yates killed the youngsters because she felt overwhelmed and inadequate as a mother, not for altruistic reasons.
Welner said that although Yates may have been psychotic on the day of the murders, it wasn’t until the next day in jail that she talked about Satan, wanting to be executed and saving her kids from hell. He said the hallucination may have been triggered by the stresses of being naked in a cell on suicide watch and realizing what she had done.
Welner said Yates knew her actions were wrong and showed it in multiple ways: waiting until her husband left for work to kill them, covering the bodies with a sheet and calling 911 soon after the crime.
‘They’ should bring back Homes for the Criminally Batshit Crazy and throw her in it. And her dumbass fucking ex-husband Rusty too for making her have more kids after having such problems with postpartum depression.
Check out this article from CNN where Andrea Yates’ husband blames the government, the insurance companies, the judicial system, and everyone else for what his wife did. Maybe he should try looking in the mirror. After each child she had she suffered from postpartum depression. And after each child, he wanted another one. Even after the doctor strongly advised her not to have any more children because her depression was so bad. But he kept insisting on more children. He’s as much responsible for the deaths of his children as she is. But in today’s society, no one is to blame. It’s always someone else’s fault. If it were up to me they’d both be strapped to the table with a needle in their arms.
So I’m reading this article about the Andrea Yates sentencing. Nothing that I haven’t read already. Until I get down towards the bottom where I see this….
A human rights group has filed a complaint with state regulators over Yates’ psychiatric treatment, contending that she received “shoddy” mental health care before drowning her children.
Yates was in a psychotic state caused by premature release from care, use of inappropriate drugs and overmedication, according to CCHR Texas’ complaint filed with the state Board of Medical Examiners.
Shoddy mental health care? Excuse me? She was told time and time again not to have any more children. But she kept on having them, no thanks to her husband, who should also be convicted as far as I’m concerned. This is nobody’s responsibility except her and her husband. If they’d let me I’d push the plunger myself if they sentence her to death.
UPDATE: The jury has given her life in prison. Way to puss out. You suck Texas.
