L.A. County Kik kreeper extorted girls into sex
Josh Manuel Magana

27-year-old Josh Manuel Magana, of Whittier, California, is accused of allegedly extorting under age girls into sex using the mobile messaging app Kik.

Here’s what parents and kids need to know about how Magana is said to have found one of his victims…

Detectives said 27-year-old Josh Manuel Magana had learned enough about the victim through her social media posts to convince her that he knew where she lived and what school she attended.

As I’ve said before, online predators don’t need very much information from your kids’ social media accounts to find out where they live, work or go to school. The most innocent picture could provide them with the information they may need. Anyway, back to Magana.

Using the screen name “thegiftedmonster”, Magana reportedly threatened his victim into sending him explicit pictures. Once he received the pictures, he then threatened the victim into having sex with him or he would make the pictures public. One of his victims didn’t even come forward until she was contacted by police. Magana is accused of using this scheme to sexually assault both a 16 and 17-year-old girl in two separate incidents, but let’s be honest, this is nothing short of rape.

Police believe that Magana may have more victims…

Detectives said they believe Magana has more victims, and urged anyone who had been contacted by “thegiftedmonster” to call the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force at (323) 526-5156.

Magana is being held on close to $1M bail.

High School student charged with Snapchat child porn and rape of other students

High School student charged with Snapchat child porn and rape of other students

18-year-old Adonis Jackson, of Elmore County, Alabama, has been charged with the production of child porn and second-degree rape. Jackson allegedly used Snapchat and Facetime in order to obtain explicit pictures of 16-year-old students. Once he obtained the pictures Jackson is said to have extorted his victims into having sex with him.

These are the same tactics used by much older predators except in this case the predator doesn’t have to pose as a teen because he is one. He also deserves the same type of prosecution as these older predators as well. Just because he’s closer in age to his victims doesn’t make him any less of an abuser.

This is also a good lesson for kids that Snapchat pictures don’t disappear like the app may claim, and anything that makes its way out on to the internet is out there forever.

Chicago man charged with posing as woman on Facebook for child porn and prostitution

Chicago man charged with posing as woman on Facebook for child porn and prostitution

Here’s another assclown I wish I could find a mugshot for.

27-year-old Bryan Osborne of Chicago was recently arrested by federal authorities on child porn and child prostitution charges. Osborne allegedly posed as a woman named ‘Lonyae Johnson’ on Facebook, and told a multitude of minors that they would be paid thousands of dollars to appear in child porn. The catch was that kids would have to have sex with a producer named ‘Trey’, who was actually Osborne. When some of the kids did have sex with him he would make up excuses to not to pay them. He also is said to have offered kids money for recruiting even younger kids into his employ which is also said to have included turning kids out on the street for prostitution. investigators say that he contacted over 2000 people on Facebook for his scheme.

According to the DOJ, Osborne is looking at a life sentence.

Just because apps like Kik and Snapchat have become more popular with online predators, that doesn’t mean that you can let your guard down when it come to Facebook. When it comes to your kids’ mobile devices not only do you have to keep an eye on Facebook but Facebook Messenger as well. Facebook Messenger only appears as ‘Messenger’ on mobile devices but uses the icon seen at right. Even if your kids only use the desktop version of Facebook you should probably still know their login and password as the desktop version now has a messenger that is just as robust as the mobile one. This would probably be a good chance to also educate your kids that not everyone on the internet is who they say they are and if they’re offering them money they’re more than likely doing so for nefarious purposes.

Chris Wilbanks

Chris Wilbanks was a Sergeant with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina. That was until he was arrested for allegedly using the mobile messaging app Kik in order to extort explicit pictures from an 11-year-old girl from Washington.

Using the screen name of ‘Redneck Rick’, Wilbanks is said to have posed as a 14-year-old boy who went to the victim’s school.

Wilbanks asked the girl for photos of her wearing athletic apparel and a swimsuit. Eventually, Wilbanks asked for nude photos of the girl, court records state.

The girl refused at first, but Wilbanks told her he would show the photos to other people unless she sent more, according to the court records.

Court records indicate the girl was visibly upset and crying in several of the images. Wilbanks told her not to look so upset and to smile, according to those records.

Police in Washington were alerted to the messages by the victim’s mother. Homeland Security then became involved in the investigation, which led to the arrest of Wilbanks.

If there is anything lower than a pedophile it has to be someone who’s entrusted to defend the public who’s also a pedophile. Let’s also not forget that no 11-year-old needs to be on Kik, not only becuause Kik’s terms of service require their users to be older, but also because Kik is a hive of sex offenders, pedophiles, and child porn collectors. All your kids need to be on Kik is a phone or tablet and a wi-fi connection.

UPDATE 2/11/2017: This past Thursday, Wilbanks was ordered to remain in custody after he allegedly destroyed evidence. He also cried in court. Authorities say that he also communicated with his victim on Kik while on duty.

He’s looking at 15 to 30 years behind bars.

Isaac Kemp may be the ultimate Kik kreeper

Isaac Kemp may be the ultimate Kik kreeper

I really wanted to find a mugshot of this creep, but I couldn’t find one with 100% certainty that it was him, but I digress.

44-year-old Isaac Kemp of Draper, Utah, has been charged with 65 felonies in the state of Utah concerning the solicitation of two underage girls from Nebraska and North Carolina, but that description barely scratches the surface.

Kemp is also accused of allegedly raping an underage girl from Nebraska after posing as a 16-year-old boy on Kik. After collecting several explicit pictures and videos of the girl he then reportedly told her that his ‘uncle’ would be coming to visit her and that she would have to have sex with him in order to get her ‘experienced’. Police say that he raped the girl in a Nebraska hotel room and gave her morning after pills. Kemp was originally charged with $1 million bail in Nebraska, but it was lowered and he was then able to post bail.

In the North Carolina case, Kemp was allegedly exchanging explicit pictures with a 12-year-old girl on Kik. So far no charges have been filed in North Carolina.

Kemp was said to have been very particular with his electronics when it came to other members of his family…

“In an interview with Kemp’s wife, she said she suspected that something was going on with Kemp, as far back as several years. She said Kemp disappears frequently to the bathroom while at home for long periods of time, and he takes his phone with him,” the charges state. “Kemp’s wife said that Kemp is very private with his cellphone and that no one is allowed to look at it and no one other than Kemp knows the pass code.”

This reminds me of a time where a former co-worker came to me and asked me advice about their friend’s peculiar behavior about their computer. This was in a day before smart phones were the norm. She said that her friend would never let his wife or kids use the computer, and it was always password protected. I said he’s either having an affair or he’s into child porn. Sadly, it was the latter, and the guy ended up going away for a long time leaving his wife and kids to fend for themselves.

As you should know by now, Kik is teeming with sex offenders and pedophiles, and as shown here they will go to preposterous extremes in order to violate your children. They will traverse great distances, spend extravagant amounts of money, and make up the most cockamamie stories just to get what they want from children. If you’re not watching your kids’ online habits, they are.

UPDATE 2/9/2017: Thanks to reader Kate who was able to find a mughost of Kemp.

Former school janitor charged with trading child porn on Omegle

Former school janitor charged with trading child porn on Omegle
Douglas Mehan

As I have mentioned before, one website that doesn’t get nearly as much attention as it should in the media is Omegle. It is the anonymous webcam chat site whose motto encourages you to ‘Talk to Strangers!’ One of the more popular search quries that lead people to my site is ‘can you get arrested for using Omegle?’ This leads me to believe that not only are predators grooming underage children on Omegle, but it’s also being used to trade child porn.

For example, 50-year-old Douglas Mehan is a former school custodian from Milford, Connecticut. He’s been arrested for allegedly using Omegle to trade child porn. While Omegle definitely appears to have a child predator issue, that doesn’t prevent them from contacting the NCMEC when they find one, and that’s exactly what they did here.

Once police caught up to Mehan he is said to have said that he only started getting into child porn within the past few months. That didn’t stop him from allegedly having 378 child porn videos on his laptop. I’m guessing that his interest in this has been for more than just a few months. These scumbags always seem to have some kind of story when they’re caught, to try to lessen what they’ve already done. In my opinion they’re justifying it to themselves as anyone else wouldn’t care how long he was viewing child porn as most would be equally appalled by his activity.

As a warning to parents, Omegle is not an app, it’s a website that can be used by any internet connected device that has a camera. This includes, smart phones, tablets and laptops. This means that there will be no app icon to look for and you would need to check your children’s browser history to see if they’ve been visiting the site.

Garden State RSO indicted for being a Kik kreeper

Garden State RSO indicted for being a Kik kreeper
Bryan Sanderson

24-year-old Bryan Sanderson of Middletown, New Jersey, was convicted in 2013 of endangering the welfare of a child. This resulted in Sanderson being placed on the sex offender registry for life. Apparently, being on the registry did not discourage Sanderson from engaging in illicit behavior as he has been given a 24 count indictment for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl he met through Kik.

Police say that during their investigation that they not only found Sanderson to be in possession of child porn but that he was trying to solicit sex from 12 and 13-year-olds as well. The investigation started when Sanderson was pulled over while having a 14-year-old girl in his car. Investigators believe that there may be more victims.

Anyone with information is asked to contact prosecutor’s Detective Michael Acquaviva at 732-431-7160, ext. 2233.

Anyone who wants to make an anonymous report can call the Monmouth County Crime Stoppers confidential tip-line at 1-800-671-4400. Tipsters can also text “MONMOUTH” and their tip to 274637 or they can email a tip via the website at www.monmouthcountycrimestoppers.com.

Not only does this show that Kik is still rampant with sex offenders and pedophiles, but sex offender registries don’t do much to keep predators from re-offending. Instead they should be kept in jail longer rather than be given probation.

Kik kreeper posed as Justin Bieber to extort 9-year-old girl for pics

Kik kreeper posed as Justin Bieber to extort 9-year-old girl for pics
Bryan Asrary (not Justin Bieber)

24-year-old Bryan Asrary of Revere, Massachusetts, is accused of posing as Justin Bieber in order to extort explicit pictures from a 9-year-old girl for two years. The victim, from Los Angeles County in California, followed Bieber on Instagram and was messaged by Asrary claiming to know Bieber and promised a meeting with the alleged singer. The victim was then instructed to open a Kik account where Asrary is said to have posed as Bieber himself. That’s when Asrary is said to have threatened the victim into sending him explicit photos of herself. Two years later in 2016, the suspect is said to have tried to extort more pictures out of the victim by threatening to publish the original pictures. The victim then went to her mother who went to police.

In what should really come as no surprise, this is not the first suspect to try to pose as the Canadian pop star, or the second. In the annals of this website there have been two others who have tried to use the Bieber bluff. Their stories can be seen here and here.

While I can understand why a parent may allow their child to follow Justin Bieber on Instagram, it should still be done under strict supervision, not to mention that no 9-year-old should ever be allowed to have unfettered access to social media no matter how innocent their intentions may be. Any platform, regardless of how kid friendly it may be, can be abused by miscreants like this in order to corrupt your children.

Robert Dion Ables

39-year-old Robert Dion Ables of Hutchins, Texas, is accused of allegedly extorting a 14-year-old Canadian girl for explicit images of herself. Ables is believed to have used the mobile messaging app Kik in order to attempt to blackmail his victim.

kiklogo

Investigators say that Ables posed as a 14-year-old girl when asking the girl for explicit photos. When he received them, he is said to have sent similar pictures of a different girl to the victim. He then threatened the victim that he would post her pictures on Facebook if she did not continue to send him pictures.

Ables allegedly admitted to the crime and said that he had been involved in online extortion since 2014 which he says has made him $50,000 in two years.

Ables said he obtained sexually explicit photographs of minors by contacting girls on KIK Messenger.

Another good warning for your kids is that if a stranger online claims to be or around their age, they still could be a predator. Posing as a child is just one of many ways that online predators use to gain your child’s trust. This is not a rare occurrence on Kik either. As I have mentioned many times in the past, Kik is inundated with sex offenders and pedophiles.

Ohio Kik Kreeper claims he’s been ‘playing’ with his child

Ohio Kik Kreeper claims he's been 'playing' with his child

30-year-old James Denney of Anderson Township, Ohio, has been arrested for allegedly trying to trade child porn on the mobile messaging app Kik. Denney was chatting on Kik with an undercover Homeland Security agent when he allegedly said the following…

In the Kik chat transcribed in the court documents, Denney said he’d been “playing” with his child for “a couple months” and that he was still “testing the waters.” He went on to say he didn’t want to “cause lasting issues or any major issues.”

Well, isn’t that benevolent of him?

Denny is also said to have sent a tor link to the DHS agent that was said to contain child porn.

No word on if Denney had any actual children or if he was just talking up a good game. I guess we’ll just have to wait to see if child molestation charges are forthcoming.

This is the part where I tell you that Kik is filled with sex offenders, pedophiles, and child porn traders. If I were you, I wouldn’t even let any of your under age kids use Kik no matter how many of their friends may use it.
