14-year-old girl left with two men after meeting another man on Kik

14-year-old girl left with two men after meeting another man on Kik
Ho and Otero

Out of all the stories I’ve posted about mobile messaging app Kik, this may be the worst one yet. Even if you didn’t need another reason to keep your kids from using the app, you’re getting one anyway.

A 14-year-old Indiana girl went missing after allegedly meeting 21-year-old Ian Smith Buti, from Derby, Kansas. Investigators say Buti then took the girl to a Cincinnati suburb and left her with two other men before returning to Kansas. The two men are 25-year-old Eric Ho and 27-year-old Bryan Otero. Ho is accused of allegedly raping the girl while Otero has been charged as an accomplice.

What in the blue hell is going on in this country when one man preys on a 14-year-old girl online and then drops her off with two potential rapists before driving home like it was no big deal, like he just delivered a pizza or something. Buti has been charged with child porn offenses so God only knows if this was some kind of child porn ring or network. That shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone since we all know, wait for it, Kik is a veritable cornucopia of sex offenders, pedophiles, and child porn collectors.

What’s that you say? You say you have the perfect family and you trust your kids online? You think your kids are too smart to fall for something like this? Yeah, about that…

Her family said it was very out of character for the young honor student to disappear without a word, with some relatives saying early in the investigation that they believed she had been abducted by a man she met online.

“In all her school years she’s done very well,” her uncle said. “This is a good student. Something totally unexpected. Not in her character at all.”

The reason they’re called predators is because they’ll find the perfect way to prey upon your children. Even if your kid is in line to be the next Stephen Hawking, predators like this will find whatever they need from your kids to convince them to run off. If I was still a parent of teenagers there would be no way I would allow this app to be installed on their devices.

I still have a ton of questions about this story so I’ll be posting more details as they become available and as time allows.

Kik child porn group moderator: “Let’s keep it to 5-year-olds guys”

Kik child porn group moderator: "Let's keep it to 5-year-olds guys"
Justin Wayne Reid II

As you’re probably tired of hearing me mention, the mobile messaging app Kik has been documented to be crawling with sex offenders and pedophiles. More recently, it seems Kik has an even bigger problem with child porn collectors who occupy an increasing number of secret rooms among Kik dedicated to trading the vile imagery.

One such man who allegedly ran one of those groups was 56-year-old Justin Wayne Reid II of Campbell County, Virginia. Reid is accused of running a Kik chat room where the images of girls as young as 10 were said to be traded. Of course, Reid was said to be found with his own personal collection of child porn. However, it appears that Reid must have had somewhat of a conscience as he put his foot down as moderator

In the chat sessions, the warrant showed that Reid posted the following statement: “New Year, New Rule. Nothing under age of 5 allowed. Lets keep it 5 to 18.”

Yes, because a 4-year-old being violated is so much more worse than a 5-year-old being violated, and yes that is indeed sarcasm. However, that’s how these deviants justify their repugnant behavior, much like the guy who called his child porn ‘nudist pictures’.

In case that’s not disturbing enough, I wonder how many of the girls in the group’s pictures gave these cretins their pictures through Kik since the app is so popular with teens? If you’re a parent and not checking for Kik and apps like it, it’s time to get on the ball before images of your kids end up in the hands of guys who draw the line at 4-year-olds.

Buffalo babysitter charged with sharing child porn on Kik

Buffalo babysitter charged with sharing child porn on Kik

There’s not a lot of detail on this story, but federal authorities say that Shane Michael Aurand was working as a babysitter in Buffalo, New York, when he allegedly shared child porn with an undercover agent on the mobile messaging app Kik. To answer your next question, sadly, it is believed that Aurand produced the child porn using a child he was babysitting. He also allegedly said that he would send the agent more child porn if he received some in return. Not to get off topic, but he sounds like the kind of babysitter someone would hire off of craigslist, but I digress.

As I’ve said in the past, Kik is one of the most commonly used apps by sex offenders, pedophiles, and child porn traders. Unfortunately, sometimes those groups are also inhabited by babysitters. Choose wisely.

David Ohnmacht

36-year-old David Ohnmacht was convicted in 2003, in Westchester County, New York, for sexual abuse and sexual assault charges involving four victims, ranging in age from 13 to 15. He was sentenced to 40 months to 10 years in prison, and spent nine years in jail before being released. He used numerous jobs such as lifeguard, ice-cream truck driver, student theater coordinator and party planner to prey upon his victims. It almost seems like this guy wrote the book on how to be a child predator.

After his release, he was forbidden from using the internet, but his parole expired in November of 2016. That’s when authorities say that the man from Katonah allegedly started using the mobile photo sharing app Instagram to groom a 14-year-old North Carolina girl he met through the popular app.

Ohnmacht allegedly used the screen names of “Dannyw290” and “little.kitty.love” to pose as a 19-year-old male and a teenage girl in order to get his victim to send him explicit pictures of herself. He is also said to have obtained the girl’s home address and was able to send her sex toys in the mail, more than likely for her to use in images and videos meant for her tormentor. Like a number of predators, again to seemingly appear from a sexual predator’s handbook, he made the girl call her ‘daddy’.

Police believe there may be more victims involved…

Federal authorities said the investigation was ongoing. They asked anyone with information on Ohnmacht or the social media accounts “Dannyw290” and “little.kitty.love” to contact the FBI at (914) 925-3700.

If you’re going to allow your underage kids to use Instagram, then you need to know not only who is following them but who is leaving comments and likes on their pictures. You should also monitor what pictures they’re sharing because predators are able to ascertain many personal details about their victims’ lives just by paying attention to small details in the pictures. The best example I keep giving is that some predators can determine where your child may go to school by seeing the most innocuous item in the background of the picture, such as a sports uniform.

Another thing to be careful of is what many people are calling ‘Finstas’ or ‘Finstagrams’, otherwise known as fake Instagrams. Instagram allows users to create five different accounts, and some people use these Finstas to hide images from whomever they don’t want viewing their pictures. It’s a good idea to occasionally check your kids’ accounts to make sure that they don’t have one of these hidden accounts. If you’re not doing random checks on these apps, then you’re allowing the predators to possibly gain a foothold into their lives.

Snapchat sleaze who had sex with a 16-year-old was a family friend

Snapchat sleaze who had sex with a 16-year-old was a family friend
Jordan Newman

25-year-old Jordan David Newman, of Panama City, Florida, was recently arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl. Before we continue any further, it really shouldn’t be called a sexual relationship but rather child rape, and the age of consent in Florida is 18 for those that need reminding. Reportedly, Newman is also a local EMT who used the fire station to have sex with the girl. Newman is also accused of using photo sharing app Snapchat to exchange sexually explicit pictures and communicate with his victim.

While I tend to mainly post about online predators, the truth is that a child is more likely to be sexually assaulted by someone they know. That’s not to say that these ‘familiar’ predators still won’t use the same tools as the online predators. Newman is said to be a friend of the girl’s family. Even if that friend is one of your family’s most trusted associates, it’s highly inappropriate for a 25-year-old man to be having Snapchat conversations with a 16-year-old girl. Any decent man should know that.

L.A. area Snapchat sleaze charged with child porn sextortion

24-year-old Francisco Javier Soledad, of Eastvale, California, was arrested by both ICE and Homeland Security for allegedly threatening children over Snapchat into sending him explicit pictures of themselves. Soledad is accused of using one of the most common online predator tricks of posing as someone he’s not in order to try to gain the trust of his victims. He reportedly posed as both an adult woman and a 13-year-old boy.

When Soledad is said to have convinced a 13-year-old Illinois boy to send him an explicit video, the boy blocked him on Snapchat, but Soledad used other multiple Snapchat accounts to threaten the boy into sending him more. The boy’s parents contacted law enforcement, and when federal investigators searched Soledad’s devices they are said to have found over 5,000 child porn images. Most of the images were said to be made by Soledad’s victims, the majority of whom have not been identified. Soledad’s main Snapchat username was said to be ‘linkinparkrocks’, and investigators are looking for additional victims.

Officials are encouraging anyone with information about Soledad or his Snapchat handle, “linkinparkrocks,” to call HSI’s toll-free tip line at 1-866-234-7423.

This presents a good opportunity to talk to your kids about a number of things when it comes to using social media. The first is that no matter what stories they’ve heard to the contrary, if an adult is approaching them in a sexual manner online, it’s not out of a romantic interest but a malicious one. The second thing is that once pictures or videos of them have been posted to social media, they are out there forever, no matter how much the app or network tells you that they disappear.

Kik kiddie porn collector claims PTSD

Kik kiddie porn collector claims PTSD
Randall Boyd Tyler

33-year-old Randall Boyd Tyler, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, was recently arrested for allegedly trading child porn on the mobile messaging app Kik. Homeland Security says that Tyler was using the Kik screen name of “young_country83” in order to engage in the trading of the explicit images. Tyler denied sharing the images, but admits to viewing the images with possibly one of the worst excuses possible.

Tyler allegedly told investigators that the images and videos help him cope with “anxiety due to military combat tours overseas,” according to the report.

With all due respect that I have for the military and the empathy I have for people with mental illnesses, you’ll have to excuse me if I say that’s a crock of shit. Not only that, but it does a massive disservice to those who have served who are trying to cope with PTSD on a daily basis. This is along the lines of school shooters and killers who try to blame their actions on Asperger’s Syndrome, saying it made them kill. You’re just trying to garner sympathy while being caught for one of the worst crimes you can imaginably be apprehended for.

While Kik can issue statements saying that they detect, report and delete known child exploitation images, it doesn’t change the fact that it’s the top app used by sex offenders, pedophiles, and child porn traders. If you see the icon that I’ve posted above among your children’s apps, they could potentially be victimized by any number of these online offenders.

Kik kiddie porn kreeper was substitute teacher and coach at the Y

Kik kiddie porn kreeper was substitute teacher and coach at the Y

22-year-old Jameson B. Clevenger, of Greenfield, Massachusetts, was recently arrested for allegedly trading child porn on the mobile messaging app Kik. He reportedly told police he had been trading child porn on Kik for about a year or two. What’s more interesting is that he said that the images were part of a fantasy and that he would never act on it. Really? I find that hard to believe.

Click here for more stories about Kik

The reason I find it hard to believe that he wouldn’t act on it is because he held two different positions that put him close to children. Clevenger was not only a substitute teacher, but was also a gymnastics instructor at the local YMCA. While his charges did not stem from either job, one could speculate that he may have chosen those professions because of his predilections. The Y even issued a statement saying they do thorough background checks but Clevenger’s record was clean up until this point. The school did a similar background check and also found nothing. Unfortunately in this day and age, it could mean that they just haven’t been caught yet.

This is the part where I tell you that Kik is a haven for not only sex offenders and pedophiles, but also has a prolific community of child porn traders. It’s also an app that is popular among kids and teens. Because of these two things, every parent should be concerned if this app is found on any of their children’s devices.

Man tries claiming that child porn was ‘legal nudist pictures’

Man tries claiming that child porn was 'legal nudist pictures'
Donald Herbert Webb Jr.

68-year-old Donald Herbert Webb Jr., of Manchester Township, Pennsylvania, was arrested for allegedly trading child porn on both Twitter and mobile messaging app Kik. The excuse Webb is said to have given police is a unique one but one that’s not unheard of. Webb claims that he is a third generation nudist and that the images he was said to be found in possession of are ‘legal nudist pictures’. Webb reportedly went even as far to tell police that has received images of children that were of a ‘sexual nature’, but Webb claims that he would just pass those along and that he wasn’t ‘into them’. Someone may want to break it to him, that’s also a crime.

As I previously stated, while I haven’t heard it in a long time, this is not the first time I’ve heard the nudist defense used before. Back in my pre-blogging days, I used a set-top box known as a Web TV in order to access the internet. One of the great features of the Web TV network is that it allowed easy access to the Usenet newsgroups. These were a precursor to message boards and were mostly used for discussions on a particular topic, but could also be used to trade pornography both legal and illegal. One day Web TV cut off access to the illegal newsgroups, and a number of their users complained that they had wrongly blocked access to, you guessed it, legal nudist pictures. The bottom line is that you’re not fooling anyone with that claim. It’s right up there with “you have to tell me if you’re a cop.”

What’s not surprising is that Kik was used in this instance. As I have mentioned in virtually every Kik story I post, Kik is inundated with sex offenders and pedophiles. It’s also a known haven child porn traders. Considering this is a popular app among children, this should be more than a cause for concern.

Mother on MeetMe tells child porn perv “I can’t put things in her mouth she gets sick she’s disabled.”

Mother on MeetMe tells child porn perv "I can’t put things in her mouth she gets sick she’s disabled."
Ronald Caryl

24-year-old Ronald Caryl, of Silver Springs, New York, has been arrested for allegedly receiving child porn from a woman he met on the social media site/dating app MeetMe. The woman, from Nashville, Tennessee, allegedly offered up herself for sex for money, but Caryl was reportedly looking for someone younger.

To get the real effect of their conversation I’ll just quote it here…

Officials say the woman wrote: “just $300 and u do what u want to me,” to which Caryl replied, “do you have a young girl who could join I’ll pay more…you into young girls?”

The woman responded, “as long as they r 18 and older.”

The defendant responded “Ya I meant younger I’ll pay 6000.”

The woman replied, “I can’t put things in her mouth she gets sick she’s disabled.”

Let’s stop right there for just a moment. While the instigator’s behavior is reprehensible, the mother’s response seems to indicate that she is actually entertaining the thought of allowing her one-year-old disabled daughter to be violated for money. Let that sink in for a moment while the conversation continues.

The defendant went on to say, “show me your daughter.”

The woman then allegedly sent a picture to the defendant.

Caryl continued to press the woman to send naked pictures of her 1-year-old daughter.

Click here for more stories about MeetMe

What makes this even worse is that Caryl wasn’t even turned in by the woman. He was turned in by someone who worked at MeetMe who contacted the NCMEC who in turn contacted the FBI. So at least MeetMe is reporting some of the

Now if the charges are true then Caryl definitely deserves everything he’s got coming to him, but why have there been no reports of the girl’s mother being arrested. While not even the DOJ’s press release mentions if the picture he received of the girl was explicit, he was arrested on charges of receipt of child porn. If there has been arrest for the distribution of that child porn I’ve been unable to find it.

You know, I remember when MeetMe was known as MyYearbook, and was then touted as a safe social network for high school students. Now, it’s just a low rent mish-mash of MySpace and Snapchat with all the sexual subtlety of Tinder. While it’s nowhere near the level of Kik, MeetMe has its own long history of predators and sex offenders.
