Girlfriend of fry cook pleads guilty in plot

Dana Saltzman

Dana Saltzman

17-year-old Dana Saltzman, alleged girlfriend of Christopher Franko, has pleaded guilty to charges against her for assisting Franko in plotting an attack against Connetquot High School.

If you’ll recall Franko was arrested twice for two separate plots against the school. At the time of his first arrest Franko was a McDonald’s employee.

Frank got 3-9 but Saltzman is only looking at 5 years probation.

I wonder if she’s going to wait for Franko to get out or will she grow up.

L.I. Fry Cook sentenced for 2nd plot against school

Christopher Franko

Christopher Franko

Christopher Franko was arrested in 2007 at the age of 15 for plotting an attack against Connetquot High School on Long Island. Franko and his cohort at that time were McDonald’s employees. I dubbed it the Fry Cook plot at the time.

After he served his juvenile sentence he was arrested again back in 2010 at the age of 17 for plotting a second attack on the school.

The original plot was supposed to take place on April 20th of 2008 which means that Franko is also a mutant. For the 2nd plot he planned it for his 18th birthday when he would be old enough to buy guns. Since his juvenile record was sealed he probably would have been able to.

For his most recent plot Franko pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 3 to 9 years in big boy jail. Considering he tried twice to shoot up Connetquot High I doubt that 3 to 9 years will provide any rehabilitation.

Fry Cook plotter ‘a loving person’

LI Teen Accused Of Bomb Plot: “I’m A Very Loving Person”:

Two time Long Island loser Christopher Franko says that his TWO plots against Connetquot High School is being misunderstood and that he’s really a ‘loving person’.

“I’m a very loving person. But nobody wants to view me as that. Everybody wants to view me as the mad bomber.”

Mayne that’s because you plotted to attack your high school twice? Just a thought. He also claims that his plots were ‘just venting’…

I’m sorry everybody takes this so seriously. But you have to realize when a kid is just venting.

You know, you may have gotten away with that once but twice? That’s not venting, that’s obsessing.

He’s also saying that his cohort girlfriend Dana Saltzman made up the whole thing. Riiiight.

He also claims that he’ll get out of this…

“I know I’ll walk away from this and I’ll be a successful writer, and I’ll have a lot of success in life.”

Really? Because you’re off to a great start so far. But don’t count on that success any time soon. You’re 18 which means you’ll be looking at adult charges and adult prison time.

Fry Cook’s Revenge: 2nd plot against Connetquot

Police: 2 Teens Plan Shooting At L.I. High School:

Sickos’ age thwarted LI Columbine: cops:

LI teen planned ’08 ‘Columbine’ attack, too:

Columbine-Style Attack on Long Island High School Foiled, Two Teens Arrested, Say Police:

Back in 2007-2008 I posted some stories about a school shooting plot that was planned against Connetquot High School in Long Island. The plot was hatched by two McDoanld’s employees aged 15 and 17. Because of their then occupation I dubbed it the Fry Cook Plot. The 17-year-old given probation and as far as I know has not violated those terms. The 15-year-old was said to have been the ring leader and was sentenced to 1 year in a mental facility minus time served.

It seems that time spent in the nut hut had no effect because the then 15-year-old and now 17-year-old has been arrested for plotting a second attack against Connetquot High School.

17-year-old Christopher Franko, who was the 15-year-old in the original plot, was arrested last week for the second plot. Also arrested was his girlfriend, 16-year-old Dana Saltzman. The pair met at a special education program since I’m sure Franko was not allowed back into Connetquot.

The attack was supposed to take place on June 10th when Franko would have been old enough to purchase shotguns legally.

Police were tipped off by a social worker and police allegedly found evidence of the plot on their computers and cell phones.

Franko is another mutant who claims bullying. The original plot was scheduled for April 20th of 2008. Apparently he’s just another mutant loser who couldn’t put the past behind him no to mention that rehabilitation should obviously not be an option again.

Second fry cook sentenced

Teen in Connetquot school plot avoids jail:

17-year-old Michael McDonough, he of the Fry Cook Plot against Connetquot High School in Long Island, has pleaded guilty to charges of first-degree reckless endangerment and fourth-degree conspiracy.

Under the plea McDonough avoids jail time but must remain on probation for 5 years. If he violates his probation the judge has threatened to send him to an upstate New York prison, you know, like Attica or Sing Sing.

McDonough apologized in court and prosecutors seem to be happy with his progress since his arrest.

Fry Cook Sentenced

Teen in Connetquot bombing plot sentenced:

The 15-year-old Long Island McDonald’s fry cook who plead guilty to charges of plotting an attack against Connetquot High School was sentenced yesterday. The unnamed teen was given 1 year in the nut hut…I mean an ‘undisclosed therapeutic facility’. He was also given credit for the time he’s already served.

I haven’t heard anything yet about his cohort being sentenced. That would be 17-year-old Michael McDonough. I’d be surprised if he gets more than probation.

Fry cook teased for living in trailer park

Teen Who Plotted N.Y. School Rampage Was Teased for Living in Trailer Park, Lawyer Says:

The younger of the two suspects in the Fry Cook Plot to attack Connetquot High School in Long Island is playing the bullying card in hopes of getting a lesser sentence.

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. — A teenager who admitted planning a violent rampage at a Long Island high school had been picked on for living in a trailer park, his lawyer said.

The boy was “constantly being berated as trailer trash,” lawyer Robert Gallo said. “He’s not an evil child. … He went through a lot to get where he is.”

The teen is frightened, remorseful and getting treatment at a psychiatric center, Gallo said.

“He’s aware he was planning on doing some pretty serious things,” the lawyer said. His client’s name hasn’t been released because of his age.

Cry me a greasy river.

Fry cook pleads guilty

Boy, 15, charged in plot to attack LI high school pleads guilty:

The unnamed 15-year-old accused in the plot to attack Connetquot High School and a Long Island McDonald’s has pleaded guilty to charges against him.

The 15-year-old boy entered the plea in Family Court in Central Islip on Tuesday. He was originally charged with fifth-degree conspiracy, a misdemeanor, but his plea was for a less serious charge.

The 15-year-old could face prison, probation or hospitalization when he is sentenced on Aug. 21. He also could be permanently removed from his home or placed in a residential treatment center or in foster care.

The next court date for his 17-year-old cohort Michael McDonough is August 6th.

The Fry Cooks weren't even supposed to be here today

The Fry Cooks weren't even supposed to be here today

Cops: Plot went beyond school:

This is definitely a new one on me. It seems that the 15-year-old accused in the plot to attack Connetquot High School referred to himself as Dante and referred to Michael McDonnough as Randal. If those names don’t mean anything to you they’re the main characters in the movie Clerks. They’re probably referring to Clerks II though since that movie takes place at a fast food restaurant. Except Dante and Randal never intentionally plotted to kill somebody.

Anyway more details are emerging including Michael McDonnough’s role in the plot.

One of the teens — Michael McDonough, 17, of Holbrook — said that at a June 30 sleepover, he and his 15-year-old friend made a video talking about using pipe bombs to destroy the McDonald’s on Veterans Highway, according to McDonough’s statement. At about midnight, they headed to the restaurant carrying three eggs, which they threw at the building as a “rehearsal” for what would happen next, he told the Suffolk detective.

In a written waiver of rights that accompanies each statement, the teens declined legal counsel before providing the statements last Tuesday to the detective, who wrote down their accounts. The mother of the 15-year-old was present when he gave his account.

The younger of the two, a 15-year-old Connetquot High School student whom police would not identify because he is charged as a juvenile, said he “had angry thoughts about killing people at Connetquot High School because I don’t feel they’ve done right by me.” People taunted him for living in a trailer park, the statement said.

The 15-year-old said he shared his plan to attack McDonald’s with McDonough, but said he didn’t remember telling his friend about the school plot: “I mention killing people and shooting up the school quite a bit in my journal, but I don’t remember saying it to Mike.”

In McDonough’s statement, he says that depression and suicidal thoughts led him to go along with the 15-year-old. He said the two hatched the plot against Connetquot High in February while they were on a school break.

McDonough told the detective he “didn’t care where life was going to leave me next. I told [the 15-year-old] that I was on board and would help him shoot up the Connetquot High School.” He said the 15-year-old talked about “killing his whole school, hundreds of people.”

And we’re getting more proof of the 15-year-old’s mutancy…

The two aimed for a date for the school attack — calling it J-Day, short for judgment day — April 20, 2008, the ninth anniversary of the Columbine High School killings. The younger teen seemed to model his plan after Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, who carried out the Colorado attack, McDonough said.

Now let’s give the excuses…

The younger of the two, a 15-year-old Connetquot High School student whom police would not identify because he is charged as a juvenile, said he “had angry thoughts about killing people at Connetquot High School because I don’t feel they’ve done right by me.” People taunted him for living in a trailer park, the statement said.

So we have depression and a trailer park as excuses. As time goes by the excuses keep getting more pathetic. I’ve seen pictures of the trailer park. In Long Island that might be a trailer park but in the rest of the country it’s more like a housing development. Come to North Carolina sometime and I’ll show you some scary trailer parks. As far as the depression goes I have two words. Get help. It really isn’t that bad. But I’m sure we’ll hear the excuse that he was either on or wasn’t on meds. You really can’t go wrong either way these days.

Here is a copy of the statements they gave police.
