The guys over at have posted their tribute to the late Ronnie James Dio including footage from his last performance. The show was in my old stomping grounds of Atlantic City, NJ with Heaven and Hell. Of course no one knew at the time that it would be his last performance. Personally I had …

If Black Sabbath had written Stairway to Heaven it would be Bible Black.
This song is an instant classic that should be in the pantheon of Dio-Era Sabbath songs like the song Heaven and Hell. Unfortunately the rest of the album doesn’t rock as hard. Oh it rocks all right and it’s a great album. It’s just not as good as other Dio Sabbath albums. Yes I think Dehumanizer is a better album. Black Sabbath alumni recording new album:

Heaven And Hell, the band featuring the post-Ozzy Osbourne members of Black Sabbath, will release its first album under that name on April 28.
“The Devil You Know” (Rhino), featuring singer Ronnie James Dio, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Vinny Appice, was preceded by three new songs on the recent compilation “Black Sabbath: The Dio Years.”
Song titles on the new set include “Bible Black,” “Rock & Roll Angel,” “Breaking Into Heaven,” “Atom & Evil” and “Eating the Cannibals.”

And it will be the greatest album in the history of mankind.
All hail his name. m/

New Heaven and Hell album in March or April:

“It sounds great,” Ronnie said of the self-produced set which he co-wrote with Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler during sessions in Los Angeles and England. “It’s a real cross-section of everything we’ve done, from Heaven and Hell through Mob Rules and Dehumanizer. I think there’s a lot of Dehumanizer in it, but a lot of other things, too, a real good blend of what this band has represented.”

And it will be the greatest ‘Black Sabbath’ album of all time.
All hail his name. m/

Heaven and Hell are currently in discussions with various record labels about recording a brand new studio album in …
