Why do so many pedophile scumbags feel the need to post child porn to Tumblr? Do they really think that no one is going to report them? Tumblr is owned by tech giant Yahoo who have received enough bad publicity about predators in their old chat rooms. They don’t need any more bad press over something like that. In previous instances of Tumblr child porn, Tumblr has reported it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. People have been arrested for this.
For example there is 44-year-old John D. Corr of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. He was recently arrested for allegedly posting child porn to Tumblr. As you might expect his arrest came after Tumblr contacted the NCMEC who in turn contacted police. Corr is said to have been in possession of over 100 child porn files.
During the execution of a search warrant, police said, they recovered a HP Pavilion Slimline computer, an external hard drive, a thumb drive, “numerous zip disks” in plastic containers, and CD’s.
Zip disks? Really? 1992 called.
Anyway, don’t think that you’re slick thinking you’re not going to get away by posting child porn to Tumblr. They will find it and they will report you. Instead just go ahead and turn yourself in if you have child porn and make it easy for police. You’re going to be caught eventually anyway.
