I originally posted about Richard Sabatasse here and here. He was the Pennsylvania man who was accused of kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old girl that he met on MySpace. His basic defense was that the girl said she was 19 and he really pushed that defense.
That was until this past Monday where he pleaded no contest to charges of involuntary deviate intercourse, statutory sexual assault and furnishing liquor to minors. Pleading no contest isn’t pleading guilty. It means that you know that prosecutors have a strong enough case to convict you. As part of the plea deal *spit* prosecutors dropped charges of kidnapping and false imprisonment.
No word on what his sentence could be but he is scheduled to be sentenced this coming Monday.
According to previous reports Sabatasse allegedly held the girl against her will, took her to a bar in West Virginia and even took her cell phone so she couldn’t contact anyone when she wanted to go home. This creep should have been looking at a life sentence for kidnapping a minor and crossing state lines. Now he’ll probably get some form of laughable sentence.
19-year-old Brian T. Jones of Paris, Ky was arrested for meeting with a 14-year-old runaway that he met on MySpace and molested her and kept from leaving at one point which resulted in Jones being charged with sexual assault and kidnapping.
This past week Jones pleaded guilty but he only pleaded guilty tothe lesser charge of criminal attempt to commit custodial interference.
Really, that’s it? That’s a load of crap. Another plea deal another sexual predator that’s going to be roaming the streets. He probably won’t even end up on the sex offender registry.
25-year-old Ross Campbell of Queens was convicted of forcing several women into prostitution and advertising them on craigslist in 2008. His victims were at least three women, two were 19 and one was 18. Campbell raped the 18-year-old before forcing her into prostitution. She was ‘given’ to Campbell by an associate because the associate owed Campbell money for weed.
Sometimes I am horrified how economics works in the criminal world. What I’m not shocked by is how much of it has taken place on craigslist.
Campbell is looking at 50 years on his convictions of kidnapping and human trafficking.
Michael Jacques anti-death penalty lawyers are at it once again. This time the filing says that America’s capital punishment system is broken and refute the prosecutors’ contention that it’s appropriate in the case against Jacques.
The issue here is that Jacques is being tried by the feds while the state of Vermont does not have the death penalty.
Just a few issues here. Let’s not forget that Jacques is accused of kidnapping, raping and killing his own 12-year-old niece Brooke Bennett. Not only that but he’s also accused of using the internet to allegedly communicate with co-conspirators in other states. Since the communications cross state lines the feds decided to step in and I’m glad they did. I will dance a merry jig once they put Jacques down.
Also, do you notice that his lawyers aren’t saying that Jacques didn’t do it or give any type of real defense?
I originally posted about Richard Sabatasse here. He’s accused of kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old girl that he met on MySpace.
As I mentioned in the previous post he’s trying the ‘she said she was 19’ defense and he is really trying to sell this defense even to the media.
“If we look at the situation, her MySpace said she was 19-years-old, she had an [identification card] to get into the night club.
Allegedly Sabatasse picked the girl up from school. Since the girl is 14 he must have picked her up from a middle school or at best a high school. Either of which should have been a tip-off that the girl was probably not 19.
Let’s not also forget that Sabatasse is still awaiting sentencing on charges of corruption of minors, indecent assaults and lewdness.
He’s either a predator or the stupidest man alive. I would lean towards predator.
Police in Western Pennsylvania say that 26-year-old Richard Sabatasse of Pittsburgh kidnapped and raped a 14-year-old girl that he met on MySpace.
He is currently being charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, interference with the custody of a minor, and rape.
Sabatasse is said to have picked the girl up from school and took her back to his place not to mention taking her to a bar and West Virgina. The girl claims that she asked to go home several times but Sabatasse refused and even went as far to taking the girl’s cell phone.
Sabatasse is already awaiting sentencing on charges of corruption of minors, indecent assaults and lewdness charges.
He allegedly kept the girl captive from Friday to Sunday.
Police in Los Angeles arrested 35-year-old Samuel Francisco (yes kids, his name is Sam Francisco) for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl that he met on MySpace.
Police say that Fransisco lured the girl away from her middle school and took her to another location where she was sexually assaulted.
Apparently L.A. takes this kind of thing very seriously as the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, Major Crimes Detectives, Secret Service Agents and Immigration Custom Enforcement Officers all went to Fransisco’s residence to get the girl back and to arrest Francisco. That must have been the biggest can of whupass on the other side of his door.
Fransisco may have had other victims as well.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Los Angeles Police Department’s (LAPD) Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, Lieutenant Andrea Grossman at (562) 624-4028 or 1-877-LAPD-24-7.
DeLuna allegedly took a bus from San Antonio to Indiana where the girl lived. The Girl snuck out of her window which should have been a hint that she was underage and the pair went back to San Antonio.
The girl told police they had sex several times while there.
He’s allegedly using the old standby of ‘she said she was 18’. Even if she did it sucks to be you. And how come a lot of these losers don’t have drivers licenses. Oh that’s right. It’s because they’re predatory loser scum.
The man in the blurry picture over there is 19-year-old Brian T. Jones of Paris, Ky. He was arrested for meeting with a 14-year-old runaway girl that he met over MySpace. He is also accused of preventing her from leaving at one point.
Now get this, he’s been charged with kidnapping which is a felony but he’s also been charged with second-degree sexual abuse which is a misdemeanor. Shouldn’t they both be felonies?
The girl’s mother did have MySpace blocked on their computer but the girl was able to get around it somehow. Now the article doesn’t say it but since Jones was charged with sexual abuse I am going to assume that Jones had sex with the girl.
Parents, this is one of those stories that you need to show your daughters to show them what could happen if they try to meet some guy they met on MySpace.
I originally posted about Misael Juarez here. He’s the 18-year-old from California who was extradited to Idaho on charges that he kidnapped a 15-year-old girl, had sex with the girl and convinced her to move in with him.
Now Juarez’s mommy is speaking out for him and guess what she’s saying. She’s using the ‘she said she was 18’ defense for her own son.
Juarez’s mother sees things differently. She insists the Boise girl lied about her age, telling them all she was also 18.
“I know that my son did nothing wrong, and I am sad for him,” Isidra Garcia said through tears.
It doesn’t matter if she lied or not. If she’s 15 there’s no two ways around it.
