Possibly the greatest manager in the history of professional wrestling has passed away. The Captain Lou Albano has died at the age of 76 from natural causes.
When I first started watching pro wrestling in the early 80’s Capt. Lou managed some guys I actually feared like the Wild Samoans and Don Muraco. I was a little afraid of Albano himself considering his wild looks and the fact that I was a sheltered kid.
My prayers and condolences go out to the friends and family of Captain Lou. Here’s hoping he’s managing the greatest stable at that squared circle in the sky.
