Australian man charged with throwing daughter off of bridge

Bridge death: man on murder charge ‘in acute psychiatric state’:

35-year-old Arthur Phillip Freeman, of Hawthorn, Australia, has been charged in the death of his 4-year-old daughter Darcey Iris Freeman. He stands accused of throwing her off the West Gate Bridge in Melbourne. To put that in perspective to us Yanks the bridge is 190 feet above the Yarra River at its highest point.

Darcey was taken from the river alive but died at a hospital four hours later.

It’s also alleged that Freeman had his two sons, ages 7 and 23 months, with him when he threw his daughter from the bridge.

Freeman is said to be mentally unfit to assist with investigators.

Six unrestrained kids in Aussie car

Police find six kids unrestrained in car:

A 25-year-old woman from Melbourne, Australia was pulled over and had six kids in her car all unrestrained.

Senior Constable Brad Cummins, who pulled the woman over, said two of the children, aged six and two, were standing up in the front seat while the other four – aged five, four, three and nine months – were also loose on the back seat.

What goes for the U.S. also goes for Australia in my opinion. If you can’t travel with kids safely maybe you should keep your dumbass at home.
