Facebook vigilantes beat California homeless man because of hoax

Here is just one more reason why you shouldn’t believe everything that’s posted on Facebook.

A group of Facebook vigilantes in Modesto, California, beat a homeless man after someone posted the following to Facebook.

Guess what kids. It was a hoax.

Modesto police even contacted the person who allegedly first posted it…

“She was a friend of a friend of a friend who posted this information on Facebook,” police spokeswoman Heather Graves explained.

Was this friend of a friend of a friend also attacked after not flashing her high beams or pricked by a syringe full of AIDS?

Luckily the man wasn’t seriously injured and did not press charges against his attackers.

I don’t even know what to add at this point because it’s not like anyone is going to leave Facebook or stop spreading any bullshit that someone posts but if you have one of those kind of Facebook friends you may want to show them this post.

Why you shouldn't be a craigslist vigilante

Man Shot After Craigslist Sting Goes Awry:

It’s no secret that a lot of stolen goods are put up for sale on craigslist. Every once in a while you’ll see a story where a civilian got their items back by performing an amateur sting on the suspect. I don’t post these stories for the potential danger that doing that poses. This is a story that proves that point.

In Modesto. California a group of people decided to set up someone who was allegedly selling their friend’s stolen car stereo on craigslist. When the group of 4 confronted the suspect the suspect pulled out a gun and opened fire. He struck a 33-year-old man 5 times in the torso.

Leave police work to the professionals. If not it could get you killed.

Breeder stabs Autistic son in the head

Anitra Ladonna Hankins is a sad, stabby panda

Modesto Mom Arrested In Stabbing Of Autistic Son:

Stabbed Modesto boy, 13, getting better:

You know, I like to think that I’ve been blessed. When I got married I inherited two healthy step-children. However if I did have a child or step-child with special needs I’d like to think that I would be up for the challenge that would lay ahead. What I would definitely not do is stab them in the head.

That’s what police in Modesto, California said that 36-year-old Anitra Ladonna Hankins did to her 13-year-old Autistic son, Miles Hankins. Not only does Miles have Autism but he has a host of other ailments as well and has undergone numerous surgeries in the past.

Hankins was said to have organized prayer groups in her apartment complex for her son. Apparently she forgot that whole pesky “Thou shalt not kill” part.

Hankins called 911 last Sunday and told police that her son was hurt. When they got there they found Miles bound at the feet and lying on the floor covered in blood. Her had received multiple stab wounds allegedly from his own mother.

You’re right. I will probably never know what it’s like to take care of a special needs child. I thank God for that every day. You can tell me how much money it costs and how time consuming it can be. But you know what you can’t tell me? That she was justified in stabbing her own son in the head. You will never be able to convince me of that.

At last check Miles’ condition is improving.

Thanks to Jennifer for the tip.

California couple charged in son’s beating death

Parents Arrested After Toddler’s Death:

Andrew Paffendorf and Alicia Paffendorf of Modesto, California were both arrested in the death of their 16-month-old son, Andrew.

Suspicious injuries were found on the toddler so it’s safe to assume that he was beaten.

I still don’t get why anyone would violently kill their own child especially at that age.

Personally I’m afraid of babies.Well not really afraid but really hesitant to hold one ever since I found out about the soft spot when I was a kid. Ever since then I’ve been reluctant to hold a baby due to an irrational fear of somehow I’d end up damaging the kid through the soft spot.

Yet a married couple have no compunctions of allegedly beating their own flesh and blood.

The world makes no sense.
