Usually, and I use that term loosely, when a woman is arrested for sharing child porn on a social network, she’s molesting her own children for the sake of someone they perceive as their boyfriend. However, that is not the case here.
38-year-old Pamela Files, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was arrested for allegedly sharing child porn on mobile messaging app Kik. Files has children but they had been previously removed from the home and live with their grandmother. The grandmother herself hints that Files could have a substance abuse problem. Investigators say Files was sharing child porn with a man from Texas, which is how they were led to Files. While Files’ children do not live in her home she allegedly stated on social media that she threatened to molest her own children. Files is said to have denied ever molesting a child.
Kik issued a statement saying they encourage users to report any violation of their terms of service, but when your users are made up of an inordinate amount of sex offenders, pedophiles, and child porn collectors, you’re basically letting the inmates run the asylum.
