Phoenix Sinclair’s killers convicted and sentenced

Life in prison for Phoenix’s killers:

The birth organism of Phoenix Sinclair and the organism’s boyfriend have been sentenced in Phoenix’s death. To refresh your memory about Phoenix’s horrible death you can go here. I don’t have the stomach to retype it.

Anyway, Samantha Kematch and Karl Wesley McKay were not only convicted of Phoenix’s death but both were also given life sentences with the possibility of parole in 25 years. Would a judge actually want to be know as the judge that paroled Phoenix’s killers?

Phoenix Sinclair

Phoenix Sinclair’s stepbrother details litany of abuse:

To be honest this is the first I’ve heard about the death of Phoenix Sinclair. Phoenix was a 5-year-old girl from Canada who was allegedly killed by the people who were supposed to take care of her. Phoenix’s FBO, Samantha Kematch, and her male step-Breeder, Karl McKay, have both been charged with first-degree murder in Phoenix’s 2005 death.

In court last week her 18-year-old step-brother testified how McKay basically tortured Phoenix.

McKay’s son also demonstrated for jurors how his father and Samantha Kematch, Phoenix’s biological mother, played “chicken.”

Standing up, the boy showed how McKay would grab the girl by the throat and choke her. Phoenix would black out and McKay would throw her on the tiled floor where she would twitch, he told the court.

Apparently he did it one too many times as Phoenix was left to lay on a cold basement floor to die. They hid her body in a shallow grave near a garbage dump. Then they allegedly tried to pass off another kid as Phoenix so they could collect benefits in Phoenix’s name.

Apparently Phoenix’s FBO did nothing to prevent any of this…

In a videotaped interview with the RCMP that was also played in court, Kematch said her daughter was sometimes forced to eat her own vomit with her hands.

She said she wanted to help Phoenix but McKay wouldn’t allow it.

“She’d start crying and he’d get all mad,” Kematch said in the interview. “Sometimes he would just beat her for nothing.”

McKay must have been some catch for Kematch to allow him to beat her own daughter. It always boggles my mind how some women allow their ‘men’ to treat their children this way. As a step-father myself if I harmed even one hair on my step-kids’ head I would pee sitting down for the rest of my life if you know what I mean. Not that I advocate violence but any woman who stays with a man who beats her kids does not deserve to be called a mother. In my opinion she’s just as responsible as he is.
