31-year-old Robert Cox, of Virginia Beach, is accused of allegedly raping an 18-year-old woman who responded to his craigslist ad. Both the article and accompanying video state that the ad was for adult videos, but doesn’t specify what aspect of adult videos the ad was about. One could surmise that the ad was for an adult video audition. The victim went to a warehouse space that Cox was renting and claims that she changed her mind about the meeting and offered to clean the warehouse instead. It was then Cox was said to have raped the woman.
Even though the woman responded to a craigslist ad for adult videos, and even though she may have known she was going to a porn audition, and even though she changed her mind about it once she was there, none of that is ever an excuse for rape. Although the article doesn’t state it, one has to wonder if Cox has any connection to porn or was he just using the ad in an attempt to deceive women into having sex with him? In case you’re lacking any sense of moral decency, that would be considered rape as well.
